A sticker I picked up from my farm service agency, I feel like I need to vinyl-wrap my farm equipment in these.

Scary, ain't it! I was taking SafeStart safety training a couple of years ago and they show real life videos (reinactments typically). The person narrating the video was a kid when his Sears Toughskin jeans which didn't rip when his legs got caught in his grandfather's tractor PTO. He was lucky to survive but doesn't have a body from the waist down. Makes me cringe thinking about it.

bout 20 years ago I was working grounds on a golf course in Stow where they had me driving and operating a 1940s diesel Ford tractor with a PTO wood chipper after a big storm. That MF had zero safety measures and blew a U joint flailing the pto shaft all over. Had to jump on and shut it down. Damn near got knocked out by the driveshaft.
Was super naive to the dangers of all the shit they had me doing and was just trying to make a buck in high school.

They had all sorts of shields and such and I was thinking what a pain to do some simple stuff to it, but makes sense after hearing these stories. Better safe than sorry...real sorry.

It’s basically a spinning shaft coming from the rear of a tractor that powers my snowblower, or a brush hog etc...

The pto was whining a bit louder than normal, and that's about when it hand grenaded.

Haha. Just a shaft that equipment use to turn mechanical energy into something else.

I used my snowblower for the first time this season. It's a Ariens bought new in 2016 and I noticed it's smelling a bit richer than normal. I typically run 93 treated with Sta-Bil through it, but I'm wondering if the carb is a bit gummed up. It still runs pretty decent, but this past storm was only about 6" but cement like. I got the occasional whiff of oil if I really went in, but I have to believe that's somewhat normal as it wasn't blowing smoke. I will see how it makes the season and go from there.

My truck has an annoying clunk that's acting up more now that the temperature dropped. It's either a body mount or the LCA bolts are being funky, even torqued to the factory specs. I'm getting sick of it though.

I need a side gig to make like $100-200 a month with not a ton of effort. This having a second kid enter daycare in a week and having no money anymore is growing old already.

Yup, I went out at 130 to clean the driveway and my Simplicity was pushing the top layer around the driveway. After work I went out to shovel where Linda parks and the sun we got around 3PM had made the stuff nothing to move even with no real effort.

Yep. Definitely worth your time to shut everything down before you go anywhere near it.

Anyone have a suggested location to pop a hole in the firewall to put an aftermarket grommet in? All set with the wire dance.
