that sucks and hope it gets straightened out without much issue.

your use of the word scoundrels made me laugh. Don’t see it used much, but these characters fit the bill :thumbsup:

I've got the Headstrong AAL with my overload removed.

I don't have the same weight as you as I've only got the tonneau, but I have zero complaints. The 2G TRD Pro setup is basically the 6112/5160. My understanding is the 5160 isn't rated for a ton of lift, though.

    I like....

I have box, under the tonneau, amd the rack. Might end up with a cap.

Dont want a bunch of a lift. Im happy with the 265/75s.
My usage is pretty consistent, and being an adult sucks.... but, I am realistic.

And last I saw, I couldnt find anymore 2g TRD Pro kits...

Correct. I was just saying that my setup is very similar to the 6112/5160 combo. I had a cap for a few months back in 2018 but ultimately changed things up. I didn't find it squatted a ton. That being said, a dedicated leaf pack is certainly better than an AAL, but at a higher cost.

So my tailgate was bowed out badly enough the new cap lid would not close.
I’ve done some bad things things in the past. This is next level butchery. Lowering a tire onto the tailgate to crush it straight enough to close both resulted it quite the distortion.
To make myself felt better, I unboxed these bad boys

The new 5160 actually has the same articulation numbers as the OME 60091's that are made for the dakars. I actually have heavy dakars on mine with 5160's and never had an issue.

It was painted late winter 2015, and it’s holding up as well as the rest of the truck...only issues are from me being careless while loading or unloading. I don’t mind two-tone (cap was originally white) but figured this way I wouldn’t stick out as much.

Are those considered heavy duty for mid sized trucks?

Nope. They just have a lot more oil capacity. Valved digressive like 5100, icon. Stiffer a slow speeds, but they make bumps on the highway feel like your riding in a Cadillac. They are great, I have them on my FJ. A good intermediate step between 5100/ome etc... And full adjustable Coilovers. I'd argue they are more than adequate for 80%+ of guys running foul adjustable Coilovers.

Agreed. 6112's are the most bang for the buck. I recommend them to anyone.

Agreed. They are a half to third the price of a king/icon/ADS shock with a beefier shock shaft. Also, not many people in the Northeast are doing high speed desert runs and needing a $2000 coilover. These bilsteins will also run for 50,000 miles without needing a rebuild, less likely to leak early like an icon, no spherical bearings to change out every year, etc, etc. IMO they will also hold up to the harsh salty winters better.
