I got as high as I could and grabbed the bottom part that was flapping and was able to tie a piece of paracord to it and anchor it to the ground to at least stop the flapping. My ladder I think gets me to about 20-25’.

On an unrelated note, picked up some new gins. I’ve had the Brockmans for a couple weeks, that bottle is almost gone so I restocked. Just poured the Monkey 47, it’s pretty damn good!

I haven’t found a gin I enjoy enough to drink straight but, that said, I tend not to enjoy any liquor straight. I like gin and tonic, simple and effective. If i’m at a fancy place, i’ll go for a Tom Collins.

I do like Bombay although i’m partial to Tanqueray. I just started asking the guy who owns the local liquor store for some advice. I tried one called Uncle Val’s, then those 4. So far, the ones i’ve tried make a damn good gin and tonic.

Good stuff, i’ll have to give it a shot!
Gin is one of those liquors that’s just not worth drinking the cheap stuff. Cheap gin is just like chewing on a pine cone, it doesn’t mask well at all.

bet it will be cheaper than the dealer was!!

Turns out the water pump had been done, but not the timing belt for some reason. Oh well. Drove it home today it was much improved. The new belt on the power steering took away alot of the squirreliness I was blaming on the tires. I love this truck and am excited to start tinkering with it.

I've done the timing belt on my tacoma...the cooling fan on the radiator is a pain in the butt...

BTW 2010 passed inspection! Celebrate for another year! The guy even put it up on a floor jack and wobbled and spun the front wheels to check the bearings and ball joints. I've never seen anyone do that! The cracked manifold goes unnoticed as long as it's warmed up...

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
That's how I failed my inspection. I couldn't even hear it at the time but only a couple weeks later it was all that I could hear. Luckily I had a used spare one and threw that on at Dan's house @dc welding .
When I took it off you couldn't even spin it by hand. It was toast!
