I have never come close to needing the slider protection from underneath but I came a few centimeters from bouncing off a tree a week ago sooooo I might be getting a set.

20200404_174907.jpg Started my timing belt and associated maintenance today. Need to finish the teardown this week and reassembly probably next weekend. Replacing pretty much everything that's consumable. Every rubber hose in the engine bay, all idlers/ pulleys, radiator, fan clutch, fan clutch bracket, serp belt, timing belt, tbelt idlers, water pump, tstat, cam seals, crank seal, alternator, valve cover gaskets , spark plugs, spark plug gaskets and probably other junk I'm forgetting.

Ya, and the wife is too. So we're not going anywhere. Basically the perfect time to do it and not be rushed.

Anyone down near Arcadia/SW Rhode Island? I have a few days the week of the 20th, was thinking of trying to truck camp with the dog to give it a whirl and see how we do with it together. I know Colt St. park is shuttered, wondering if there's still anywhere to pull up next to a tree and camp out for the night down there.

I had these on my 3G4R and was very impressed.
I am less impressed in this application but maybe it’s the tires

My tires that came with the truck were crap and replacing those, the UCA's, UBJ's, full suspension and deaver springs has made it a much better feel for me. I think the suspension had to be close to the original too. To be fair, anything I did was going to be a big improvement.

Refinanced our home loan last week, got all the paperwork done today though. Went from a 5% to 3.375 on a 30 year. Savings a lot of money every month and over time, 300+ a month and like 80k if we took the whole 30 years. Will continue to pay what we were though, and might add a little on even once they let us start working again. Didn't even need to reapply, just said we wanted to do it and signed a sheet after they re-checked my credit.

I know some people were talking about doing it as well, anyone else end up going through with it and calling the bank?

Between that, all the yard work I've gotten done I didn't think I would have time for and my truck getting all gussied up, quarantine hasn't been so bad.
Now if it doesn't stop soon after April though, well it will start getting bad for us:facepalm:

Hopefully you all have been able to take advantage of this shit show as much as possible and no one out there is hurting too bad. :fingerscrossed:

Nah. I'm 8 years in on a 30 year at like 3%, so a ReFi really wouldn't do me any good. I AM thinking on buying some less expensive objects, though. There's several things that I'm looking at that are in the 0%-2% range. Tractors are mostly 0% right now and I can get a dump trailer for something like 1.2%

Nice! If you want to have fun then play with the loan calculator where you see how much you save with an extra $xxx.00 applied ever month.

we were going to refinance but planning to move withing 3 years so the little one can go to a better public school. not that the schools are the problem in our areas, it's the children and the lack of good parenting.

It cost us 1k to do it, and we will pay that off in 3 months with the difference with the new rate. Might be worth just checking into your bank if they have an option that just adjusts your rate but doesn't change anything else, that's what we did.
