Dude WTF is it - I have seen so many people on their damn phones, like it's just a free for all. The one thing that can instantly tick me off is some numb nuts with their phone plastered to their ear not looking while driving. :| Seems to have gotten worse since this whole COVID thing. People constantly sitting at green lights because they're texting etc.

My family too - Maine has put all these restrictions in and businesses have to follow, but us average Joe's don't have to follow them. I mean, we should, but we don't have to.

Thanks! I might have to check that out - I'm thinking there's a chance I've had it before. Means I have to go all the way there though, from East Prov? That's like an overnight bag trip for sure.

not with their cars, they fucking hit me with their shopping carts! i hate people so much these days.

at the vet this morning i intentionally parked far away from everyone because my dog needs a ramp to get in the car. i'm standing next to my car with the door open, setting up the ramp and this twat starts backing in right next to me. she opens her window to make sure she's not gonna hit me, i'm like "hey i need the room for my dog's ramp" "where's your dog? it's not behind me is it?" "no she's being brought out right now." "ok!" and keeps backing up. meanwhile i'm yelling at her the whole time that i need the room, doesn't matter. empty parking lot, she still took that spot. ok rant over

That's rough. I was trying to back into a spot in a wide open BJs lot one time and the person driving behind me just came right up on my tail. Turn signal on and reverse lights and everything, and they just sat there. Like...Where are you planning to go? Took them a solid 45 seconds to go around and got angry at me. Literally no other cars in the lot. :notsure:

Driving in RI is like the wild west, parking lots even worse. This state is insane - I came from Maine after NH, and by god can I tell you it's like driving with normal people there!

Yeah growing up school, work, etc was minimum 20 minute drive. In college was easily a 30 minute drive (Bangor Maine area....) but it is something I really do like about the state. Less time commuting means more time enjoying my time not at work instead! 15 minutes each way (10 now). I'm in East Prov a stones toss from Seekonk so I end up there for gas at least, about 30-40 cents cheaper/gal (always has been).

Of course, it's supposed to be raining, so it'll be a 'blind' sort of day I think.

The whole 14 day quarantine thing is going to kill summer tourism this year, but do I really want folks coming from all over to our area this summer? Not so sure I do. I got tickets to a bluegrass festival in New York in July, as much as I miss live music and camping, I want it to be canceled. We just don't know enough about this virus yet. I think I heard something this morning about being reinfected.

Just means all my camping trips will need to be at least 2 weeks in duration this summer :D

We did cancel our Memorial Day Weekend camping plans and it's not looking great for our June plans either... I have a feeling we'll be doing a lot of back yard camping this year.

Being a little selfish, I’m hoping in state camping gets opened up soon, then we can hope to get some weekend camping trips in. Every other year we are so busy in the week, come Friday it’s go no where for 2 days mode.

Me too - I would love to get up to Old Orchard before the end of the season, even if it's after Labor Day. But even in RI, I'd like to be able to camp at all down here too. As it is we can just kind of set up in some spots but there's not much for "campgrounds" around here.

Same here. Most of the camping we do is at State campgrounds, not the glamping resorts that are basically RV parking lots. It's great social distancing!

Favorite Chinese spot.....in OOB???:rofl: Now I gotta ask.... Unless you're talking about that Thai place as you enter the town on the left, that place is surprisingly good. There's the counter order chinese place down by the park too they have decent noodles but, I gotta ask....What's your favorite Chinese place...in OOB? :p

I can only assume the amusement park is a maybe at best this year. Campgrounds, hotels, etc. There's a lot of places that probably won't come through the other side if they have nothing this year.

I live on VT/NY line. we have people crossing constantly for work. I went to VT today because its the only close ethanol free gas, everyone in the surrounding towns all bring their gas cans there.

Coming from NYC to hide? Bring food and quarantine.

Nextdoor community with similar levels of infections etc... I feel like theres some wiggle room.

If there's a plus to see, it's that Berkshire County's numbers have been almost perfectly flat recently. Almost all of the increases in the state are from elsewhere. Keeping the tourists away this summer might keep us in decent shape.

My hunch as well, I'm just gonna get a regular looking switch that does the dimming.

Yup double checked that already but good catch, I did that before though that was me trying to use what I had on hand
