Last night was crazy, we probably got 4" in about 2 hours. Between 8 and 11 it was constant thunder and lightning.

We didn't get anything like that, fortunately, although it'd be helpful for the lake.

 

Think the waterfalls by Eustis will have a decent flow this weekend from the rains?

 

Just checked the rain gauge; 2.5 so far and it's still drizzling. Everything is going to grow like somebody's pushing hard from underneath now.
It filled my tanks to the brim, and the overflow filled the empty duck pond almost to the overflow (easily another 700 gallons, not counting absorption by the soil)

 

Hmm so might have a good chance of a decent flow for grand falls over the weekend if it rains tonight as well

 

I f*cking love this dump trailer. I asked for 5 tons and ended up with almost 6.
1500lbs over the rated capacity? No problem boss, keep that shovel in the truck. Hoisted it like a champ.

Probably, I would think. I checked my calendar and the last time that we had any sort of decent rainfall was Mother's Day weekend (and it was mostly snow that day, too)

Got delivery and 5 minutes into starting to eat my wife found a cockroach in the bag, fortunately it was in the bottom and I just grabbed it and ran outside. Those assholes wanted me to bring the food back and give me a credit. Uh no I want my $$ back and come get your shit.

but chances are they were just thinking you were looking for free food. If you give the food back that’s you saying “take the food back it’s nasty”. Otherwise it’s “I’m saying the food is nasty so you give me money back after I ate all the delicious food”.

I believe you but the food industry is full of people who are pulling that crap. If you got delivery though they should have come back to get it.

Grossssssssssssss!!! I would have had to burn the whole house down and move

 

I had eaten one chicken finger of my large order. I think my wife had one bite of a spare rib. Both cartons had been removed from the bag. She went to get something from the bag and saw it on bottom of the bag. I jumped up from my online meeting, grabbed the bag and hauled ass outside while closing it best I could..had to run back for the 2 cartons and 2 plates as well.

I had no issue with them getting the food back but the delivery part is where I drew the line on who comes to who. Had I done takeout I'll for sure bring it back, but I have the ability to put it in a trash bag and toss it in the truck bad.

Oh and they wanted to give me a credit instead of a refund.

Fortunately it was in the kitchen, 3 feet from the door to the outside..yikes, still I moved everything around in the kitchen and cabinets double checking. I'm guessing you might remember that place. @MikeyMcFly I hope you never eat there either

The newsies said this morning that we'd had 3+ inches across most of the state so far, so that should be enough to get the falls falling.

 

What's everyone plans for the holiday weekend? Anyone getting to take extra days? We are closing Thursday at noon.

Leaving for Maine at the butt crack of dawn on Friday, will be up there through Monday. Then coming back to work for an audit Tues/Weds - oh what fun! Anniversary on the 9th and then leaving for a raodtrip across the country on the morning of the 10th!
