I wanted to drive a RAM, but finding a quad cab that's something close to what I'd want is impossible. I thought SuperCab F-150s were slim pickings, but on the RAMs it's so much worse. There are 157 RAM Laramies within 100 miles of me. 3 of those are quad cabs, the rest are crew cabs.

Yeah, I have gotten over the whole 5 foot bed situation. I'll never put my sled or a motorcycle up in the bed again, so I'm ok with a crew cab. I bet I will be pissed when I want to put my 1 piece rods back there under a toneau though.

Oof. Good to know, but my next truck I will really not give a rip about higher trim stuff, as long as it has cruise control, a radio, and windows, I'm good. So there might be some more chances of a quad cab there. Or I might just land on a crew cab. But this is like a few years out anyway. 5.5' bed is enough but I'd like the longer bed.

I've been to some really sketchy places around Boston where the food was amazing, but I also had to wonder if they bribe the health inspector...

I worked in food service years ago and I hate to say it, no matter how clean or high end a place seems, they all get roaches. We had our kitchen professionally cleaned once a month- not much you can do about it!

Very true. But you know the place isn't so clean when the roaches join you for dinner.

Nope, there were no gaskets When doing it, you might want to replace your metal seal that connects in between the flange from your pipes to the new exhaust though depending on how old your truck is and how bad your original exhaust is. The multiple pieces of the exhaust are held together with metal screw compression fittings but to minimize exhaust leakage you can make sure that the pipe is as straight as possible and seal up the ends with some exhaust tape. This would only be for the main "long" piece that is in two pieces instead of one long piece like your oem was.

I'm looking at 2015-2017 so no option for 2500 or diesel. The new ones have the option of the 3.0 diesel.

Alright max tow package is required for us lol I'm 4600lbs empty and would rather have the heavy duty package.

Definitely planning to disable cylinder deactivation. I'll have to look into the transmission form shift and see if there are people or tunes that have fixed that. Hopefully buying one in July and using it to tow in August to Lake George

I've decided I'm not getting a diesel. I wanted to trade in the Taco in a few years and was thinking I'll get the GM twins duramax. But I started reading into it, and with all the regen and whatnot it's such a mess. And Dodge with diesels right now, not the best gene pool to be splashing around in. I'll probably stick to gasser when I go to the next vehicle - might end up being one of these 1500 dodge's :D .... I could get a rebel :p

Thanks! That is helpful. I think what is left of my exhaust after this set up replaces most of it is in good shape. I had to replace the Cat when I got it already.

The Rebel is awesome looking but man are they expensive! I can't believe the $50k trucks I am looking at are among the lower end of the cost spectrum. If the truck stickers for 50k you need to look close because it might not even have heated seats.

Yeah I would end up in a base trim most likely. I don't want factory heated seats, usually means it comes with so many other bells and whistles. They're like 100$ to install myself. That's why I didn't get them in the tacoma I have now. Realistically won't end up in a rebel, realistically I'll end up keeping this tacoma for another 20 years -- maybe could be convinced if the 4th gen drives better and is a hybrid/plug in. We'll see.

Always kind of wanted a power wagon 2500 but you can get higher towing capability in a rebel. Talked to my cousin though and it's not that they break all the time it's that weird things break. Guy at work also has a ram and it looks like crap and he's told me all the things that have been fixed or replaced

As a former dodge owner (96 Cummins 2500), get used to transmission repairs...

edit: 4X for me and I was able to replace either front axle U joints or ball joints in under 2 hours because that became a regular part of maintenance.

Used the wife's soccer mobil to go pick up a 2000# roll of used turf. She wants it for under the giblets swingset since it's all sand anyways. I ask how am I gonna get it in the yard/ cut it etc... she says shes just procurement; the rest is up to me....
Also surge brakes tow like a bag of dildos, especially when more of the weight is towards the back of the trailer...

Took a panel off the fence. After some aggressive finagling got it in the yard with a buddy. Now I need to disassemble the swingset, move it out of the way, figure out the best way to cut it, drag the ridiculously heavy pieces over to swingset area, and re-asssemble the swingset.

As someone without kids, I can't bring myself to buy a crew cab full size. I wanted it with the Tacoma because the extended cab midsizes are so small, but my DCLB Tacoma's back seat was similar to my current F150s.

My back seats have been flipped up 99+% of the time since I got this truck. I use the back for stuff more than people.

I got in trouble because I had a sign as a joke at work. Safety first, or at least in the top 5.

I didn’t get in trouble but was asked to take it down. By the HR manager. Sternly.

My back seat is used 99% of the time by the dog. The other 1% is just me offering to drive coworkers to lunch on fridays. Also no kids. I’m glad I got the crew cab Tacoma but on a full size I’d get the extended cab or equivalent. I do really like that ford does the clamshell doors.
