Y’all got that fancy grass turf, not the rug burn break your ankle shit of the John Smith Bubble of the early-mid 90s.

Are you going to water it and mow it like the Brady Bunch? I think some places do condition the turf with something similar to fabric softener.

Me too. And I spent a lot of time with my face in the turf since I was always one of the smallest on attack.

So is this new 2021 f-150 just a refresh? I thought they were doing a new truck.

From what I've seen, it's a new truck. I think some of the engine options are staying but there's a new front end and a hybrid option they're calling the power boost. They also added some other goodies that looked pretty neat like a bed outlet that basically uses the truck's engine as a generator so you can run some high draw power tools from the outlet.

I thought it was a new truck but if you look at the thing....

it's a model refresh imo. The thing looks 90% the same as the old one, inside and out.

edit: New grilles and wheels plus some upgraded features. Thats exactly like they did in 2018?

I saw that the shifter on the center console can fold down and a panel covers it and basically converts it to a laptop desk station. Kind of interesting but also a little over the top

I'm not saying it isn't an improved version, I just can't tell myself is a new truck. It has been upgraded heavily in a few areas, but from the side its the same exact truck with bigger wheel wells. Inside its the same exact truck with optional huge display and a nice new tach screen for driver.

I guess what I can't get over is that I'd expect a larger change in styling for someone claiming a "brand new truck". I could easily confuse this for a 2020 on the road and you would never confuse the ram classic with the new ones. Same with the old ford and 2015 version. Just lazy imo.

But if you are way ahead in the game, why throw show all your aces until forced?

I guess that's a fair point. It wasn't as drastic of a change from the 2014 to 2015 when they went from steel to aluminum. To me, that front end and side panels look very different from the front doors forward. From the cab back, I agree that it all looks the same. The interior looks like they refined a bit but you likely wouldn't notice on the lower trim models. I'd guess you'd have to option a truck out pretty well to get all the new trinkets. The hybrid option could be really neat if they get it all dialed in correctly. Hybrid cars that are set up well can be real tire-turners, coupling the snap of an electric motor with the range of gasoline engines. I'm curious to see how that system performs.

I guess they're somewhere between a refresh and a new truck. Like you said, when it's all working well, why completely throw out the book and start from scratch?

And what they did change I think they did well.

how long have people been waiting for the plugs in their car to do more than charge a phone! That new set up is very nice.

I also am interested to see their hybrid system. I’m not ready for full electric but I’d deff look at a hybrid.

The seat folds down completely flat too so you can "sleep" in the front seat. That will be great for my jobsite foremen who I find sleeping in their trucks all the damn time.

Keep driving north until people don't talk with a funny MA or CT accent, then camp for a while.
