Take the drive up and jump in shotgun with somebody. The drive up really isn't bad, I've done it in everything from a first gen Neon to a Ram 2500. I've taken the Tacoma up a couple of times already.

I'd say push it off a bit, maybe Early October if they have a space.

I had the ACR Coupe and used to auto-x the bugger. The number of times I three-wheeled that thing was insane. I even knew of a couple of corners around town where I could scare the shit out of my passenger if they weren't onto my shenanigans.

I love my old pre-emissions truck  Someone pissed me off yesterday, pulled half way in front of me while I was heading up Rt. 16, so I angrily brapped at him and filled his open windows with some thicccc black love.

Warranties are nice! I'd say once you are out of warranty, do the tuning and what-not. And I totally agree, Banks is the best way to go.

As far as tuning goes and leaving evidence on your ECU, I don't buy that. Subaru looks intently at your current flash ID and how many key cycles you have, bla bla bla. My recommendations to hot bois who blew up the WRX that daddy is paying for, was to uninstall the tune, disconnect the battery, and have it towed in. That will reset the key cycle counter. You tell the service people "it had a check engine light on, so I tried disconnecting the battery to clear the codes... I dunno!" And voila, new engine!

I love my 99, but I honestly could do without the single cab. There is no room for ANYTHING in that damn truck!

Also I tried owning an 89 7.3 IDI which I purchased, and it never ran again... soooo... Definitely go PowerStroke!
I don't care either way, its a 45 minute drive for me.

I'm down for anytime in September or October. Probably best to avoid Columbus day weekend.... :) Weekend after is "supposedly" homecoming, but they knocked it all to virtual already I think so, yeah I'm good anytime other than labor day weekend (F That going up to Mt W then...)

When do they close the auto road?

I'll be coming up from East Prov. Not sure on wife and/or dog though. Dog isn't a fan of wheeling but she loves rides so she might come.

Buddy had a Geo Metro. Those things were awesome. He beat that thing up for about 10 years. Didn't die but never crashed it (other than bouncing it off a tree one time, took out the door panel and kicked the sheet metal back in place with one swift kick).

One of my friends had one of those in HS, the thing was an epic POS. It was the 3 cylinder version, the thing was an absolute gutless wonder. He got a ticket once for going 70 in a 55 (he thinks they got the person next to him), he actually got the judge to throw out the ticket by showing up, explaining the vehicle he was driving and the fact that it wouldn't even do 70 MPH.

Come on man, those things were cool! My cousin tells the story of it taking only 4 guys to lift and move the car.

My friend who had one - kept it through high school and college, and into his career. Supposedly, told the dealership if they gave him more than 5 bucks for a trade in, he'd shit himself. They offered him $6. Thing lasted 10 years probably close to 100K miles just with him, going to and from high school, college, ragging on it, etc. Thing was a POS but lasted forever with no major maintenance. I mean, the heat didn't work some times (winters), but that's beside the point.

As I understand it, it's open until it's not. I think it's a rare year it's ever get's to the end Of October.

I'm the opposite. If it's firmly attached to the ground and has a drop on the side, I'm more-or-less okay. Mountain ledges I can handle, ladders are so-so. The less firmly something is attached to the ground, the more likely I'm terrified of it. I do not like lifts at all, or anything suspended in the air. I really hate elevators and will often send things up the elevator and take the stairs to meet them at work.

My girlfriend has gone skydiving for fun. I told her that is a non-starter for me--she wouldn't even be able to get me on the plane. I'd probably have a panic attack.

Same here. I’ve never met the top rungs of my ladder. I’ll drive the long way around when going from Bristol R.I. to Narragansett instead of going over the Newport or Jamestown bridges.

I did that on a bike on a windy day and it was a bit of a butt puckering experience. Otherwise, i’m usually fine on bridges although I don’t think i’d survive the new one over the Hoover Dam.

My ex's 19 Hybrid RAV4 got about 43 MPGs. I wonder what a hybrid Camry would get.

I know I maybe late on this (I had to do work today and many sites are disallowed on the house net, HIPAA rules).
Anyway I be in on a climb.
Is someone going to start a page and also see if we could block a time like the jeeps and Minis do?

It was odd seeing the shore line behind me disappear and nothing on the horizon in front of me

Took the older kiddo fishing at the MIL’s lake today since he was “home sick” from daycare. (Gonna be a long cold season with the covid) First time he’s had a hook on his line and he landed 4 fish! Of course he wanted nothing to do with them once they were on the dock...
