I'm not a huge fan of deer-nailed one in a work truck doing 70 a couple years ago. Fuckers either need to stay in the woods, on my grill, or on my dinner plate.

As of yesterday, it is chipmunks I hate. Went into the garage to grab a screwdriver and there went a chipmunk running up my beer fridge. Traps and pellet rifle is coming out. They violated the cardinal rule of woodland critters-stay outside.

When I was in school there was a 50MPH road going from my off campus place (let's not talk about it, Milford Maine...) to school. I was going in early one morning (or late one day, can't remember, it was dark though). Logging truck oncoming, deer in road. I slow, logging truck fully loaded cannot stop in time. I was oncoming to it. I thought the deer would get kicked into my jeep so I pulled off a bit and slowed. Nope. That thing got vaporized by the truck, my jeep was painted a nice shade of red. I pulled around to see if the truck drive was good, he just laughed and said I should probably go to the car wash (I did). That was an interesting night. Basically jeep got tarred and feathered in deer guts.

I'm actually living in Hooksett now (haven't changed my location yet...) but appreciate the offer. I have my bottle jack still but just don't have my old floor jack for the time being.

IIRC, wheelers/ Lowrange offroad usually discount OME stuff for black friday. Metaltech sometimes too. Icon typically runs a sale every black friday that every vendor does. Not sure about the others.

Almost everything is out of stock right now due to the pandemic. Wheelers said they should see their stock in November at the earliest. Lot's of backorders.

been doing more reading on the y62 patrol platform and searching out for builds on the Armada/QX56/80. Is it bad I am tempted to bail on the taco and go cray on the QX56? Mild lift, 35s, sliders, skid plates, maybe a bumper, roof rack for the kayaks, exhaust (v8 ya gotta), etc....then again it'd start the whole shopping for another vehicle for the wife which would probably drive me off a cliff by itself

Then it will suck at towing and you will be looking for another tow rig.

Honestly, I'm really trying to hold back from lifting the Super Duty and putting 37's on it. I love the look. Usually, practicality gets the better of me and things like your comment 'it will suck at towing' drive me away but... I know full well that truck will still tow like a champ with a lift and taller tires. Fortunately (or unfortunately), the shear expense of it all is keeping me where I'm at. Lifting that MF'er and putting on bigger tires would be an expensive endeavor.

Usually when you lift a truck they do lose some towing capacity, though, because of the softer spring rates. And then they squat like a MF'er and look stupid (in my opinion) doing it.
