I think I have roughly the same amount of spars cash as I did when I was tuning skis and bikes for 10 bucks an hour. I make a whole lot more now but man do I have places to put it!

Preach. Rolling coal is likely the dumbest automotive trend, slightly above rusting your car and a bit more above the stance thing that the youths do. I get having really cool wheels, but running a 195 on a 10" wide wheel? Ugh.

I had a girl in a Ram once just unload on my STi at a light. I was like diagonally behind her and it was totally intentional. I haven't a clue why, the stereo was down, I was sitting in neutral. Insecurity is cool, I guess?

The Juke I had as a rental was the second worse car I've ever driven. I drove it in Philadelphia and my wife stopped speaking to me for the rest of the day. We had plans to go out and see the city the night before my friend's wedding and that quickly turned to "I'm going to bed". I don't even disagree with that sentiment. The weird thing with that car was that the manuall shifting was reversed to anything else I had driven in that upshift was up and downshift was down. I was showing my friend how it had no power, came screaming out of a parking lot, went to upshift to 2nd and caught neutral, so I just slammed it back into drive and kept going. Oopsie.

Preach. My two are more than my mortgage. Once we get the older out of daycare and the younger into cheaper daycare, I'm giving some serious thought to moving.

Ehh, my daycare bill is my single largest bill in my budget. Even if I signed them up for everything, it wouldn't equal what I'm paying out.

My wife will pass me within the next five years or so as well.

A Super Duty does not daily as well as a half ton. I wouldn’t worry about the number of miles you tow a year, more the weight. If you’re at or under 5k-6k lbs for that distance, a half ton with the tow package is fine. Just make sure you get the model with the auxiliary cooling for the engine oil and tranny. The half tons are plenty capable. If you’re ordering, i’d get the max towing and heavy payload package from Ford.

You mean you don't want to spend house money on a truck? They are tempting and sure are capable, but damn $$$$

What's funny is I'm currently surfing the jiminy peak website and might be applying for some night spots doing just that. 80% of our weddings canceled last year, some keep canceling this winter... I'm hoping they at least match my 13.15 an hour I got for being a lifty last year. But if I want to make money in the next 6 months, being a rental bitch or lifty seems to be my only realistic option.

False. You think so. But there's still before and after care, extracurriculars. That's all assuming you don't spray baby juice and make another one.

The costs don't stop just cause they are in public school, I thought the same. And was wrong.

I don't want to spend fishing or snowmobile OR house money on a truck! And I certainly don't want to slow down my retirement plan... I want to retire before I'm dead!

Are the ski areas even going to open this year? I heard a rumor that Pats Peak is considering only allowing local residents access. That's pretty drastic. They make easily a third of their money by after school ski programs and I'm sure those are gone.

Well that's what I'll do next, max tow. I don't think my Sierra has a trans cooler but I do monitor the temps and they never seem concerning.

I just built a Ford F150 Lariat with the 5.0 and the max tow with the mid level package... expensive. But I think I need to do it.

Well if you have a bill of sale and previous reg you can see what you have to do to register it in Vermont, register it there for a year and then get a title in Vermont, then swap the title to MA, or reg in MA

Oof. Yeah, Pats is not a big go to for people out of the area anyway, to be fair. It's a decent mountain but it's mostly locals and school programs like you said. For most people, if you're going to drive "that far" you'll go an extra few minutes and get to Sunapee, Loon, et al. Sunapee is only half an hour north. Killington, Loon are about 90 minutes away. From CT, RI you're already at 3 hours, might as well go an extra 30 minutes. And there's hotels right there at the bigger ones. Going to be an interesting year for ski mountains. Bummer because they'll probably have a good snow year.

cHipping off in some spots from sun exposure mostly hood and roof.

You're going with another white one? :D :D :D :boink:

I can't see the price they're asking on my computer without logging in (work computer). If it's reasonable I'd say go for it, as long as it isn't a rust bucket underneath. There's a process to go for a lost title, even if it's long and drawn out a bit, probably worth it. Probably just a time sink more than anything, and that thing is pretty sweet as long as it isn't rotted out.

I think you get more towing with the 3.5 EcoBurst. But if the 5.0 handles what you need, I'd be in that one. They still doing the lariat with the 5.0?

You could find a nice 17 or 18 Lariat for a decent price! I was dailying my 250 for months and loved it. Different strokes, I get it, but other than the cost of purchase, the 3/4 ton trucks aren't terrible to maintain, and you have a better resale value compared to a 150. I definitely support your call to get the 5.0 in the 150 though, those hold value like crazy and are the least complex engine choice.
I have only done that to 2 people in the Ferd. One person almost sideswiped me on the highway, so I had to assert my dominance.. The other is some young kid with a duramax that is running around near my work going 0 throttle-WOT-0 throttle-WOT and smoking everyone out. I happened to get beside him at a light and showed him what darkness looked like. He's since died in a ditch or moved out of town... Not sure on that one :notsure:
I'd be happy to pawn off one of my shitboxes on my hypothetical kid

I just don't like that complex motor. The 5.0 should work fine and I assume I can get it in the Lariat because I built a '21 last night on the computer. But it could be one of those unicorn deals.

There was a lawsuit for white vehicles from Nissan but its passed the date. It is literally flaking off. It could have had an entirely new paint job if they'd gotten it in time roughly 10k for their pearl white to be stripped and redone. He was asking 11, then 7500, now its 5k. In good condition these are 18-25k for a 2011-2013

The 5.0 is available in the Lariat and I don't think it's overly uncommon. The 5.0 is nice, I haven't driven one with the 10 speed though. It will rev more than your Cheby did though, it certainly likes RPMs but it's a good powerplant.
