Yeah, right on the inside of the rear shock bucket. I didn't catch it until after posting the pictures, but it's been bugging me. Not enough to get the spray equipment out again, but I know it's there.

I like fingerprint unlock, didn't think I would. No drive for wireless charging. It's nice, but 50% of the time charging is in the truck - and it doesn't have wireless carplay. If I had wireless carplay, maybe I'd be on board.

Get an aerosol can and coat the hell out of it. Inside that bucket is going to be a royal bitch to de-rust-ify. Just my $0.02
Wireless charging on my iPhone 10XS Max has changed my life. It's so easy, and I'm not replacing cords seemingly every 2 weeks

I have some decent cords I guess, they're stronger than I expected and the ends are a bit more reinforced. I got a 6 pack for like 10 bucks on Amazon a year ago, I haven't burned through any cords at all. The truck wireless charging is medicore from what I have heard. Besides, my cases are either beefy as hell or I have cards back there.

I used to have this case (or similar).
    https://www.amazon.com/iPhone-Pro-M...words=metal+iphone+case&qid=1605208601&sr=8-5

These things are indestructible, BUT block the signal pretty bad. So about a week ago I went back to a wallet case. So now I have a license and credit card on the back of the phone, so it won't charge wirelessly anyway! Wallet cases have changed my life, no more wallets. But, some phones that have a wrap around screen and no bezel, screens break like it's nothing. So, I had the bolt on case for a while. Still use it for my work phone (which is the one that has the reliable screen, funny enough!)

I did something cool yesterday! I drove my truck down to the beach to rescue my boat from my grandma's boat house. The water is typically up to the boat ramp, if not covering the bottom of it slightly. They built a new dam over the last 2 years, so they dropped the water level a TON to remove the old dam.

I have an Anker cable, and I use a Samsung wireless charger base next to my bed. In the car, I just plug it in, but at night it is nice to just plop it on a charger.

I had one of those 2-part rubber and aluminum cases that bolted on as well. It made the phone SUPER heavy and bulky, but I never broke it!
    :woot: Glad to hear it!

This right here. Never sprayed my truck until this year. While installing my suspension this summer, I spent alot of time scraping flaking paint, scouring with steel wool, coating with rust reformer, and top coating many times with semi gloss black. Those rear shock buckets were really bad. When I woolwaxed a couple weeks back, this spot got alot of attention to hopefully prevent that from reoccurring.

Why didn't you leave the boat in a structure that's designed to store boats, like a boat house for instance?

Well you see, I only get the opportunity to access the beach by vehicle once a year, and that particular boat house, or safe boat storage facility, is for sale.

I just upgraded to the iPhone 12 (yeah, yeah...I like iPhones, sue me). The 5G is way fast in my house, and my office is a dead zone. After sitting in my desk for 12-15 minutes, my speed drops to 0.02 mbps. I get 60-70 mbps at my house. I've been reading people having issues with the new phone, but I'm up to date on my iOS, so I guess I'll see if Sprint or Apple have any answers. I've read some complaints that when the phone loses 5G and goes into LTE it somehow completely drops signal.

My iPhone 7 worked fine, but at over three years old, it was time.

UGH, mine did the same thing after a couple of years..at 60% even it would croak. Reason I went with the moto e6 now, takes a minute to replace the battery. I use mine a lot for podcasts and such at work.

Haven't bothered to get one in a long time, they're too much of a pain in the ass and I've broken one phone in my life dropping it..my old Crackberry. Even that took me falling out of my loft to do.

My current situation, though it was old age of sensor.

Nothing wrong with iPhones. I can't get one on my plan but it would be more than I would need anyways.

I have a 7 and a SE/5. Both work fine. The SE has been used daily as a work phone + sat nav for personal use (unlimited data yee haw work plan). Been tossed around like a rag doll dropped countless times. Still works great. I have no need for upgrading to new phones like I said though. NFC for payment is the only thing I like buuut I use a wallet case and just tap the card anyway if it’s missing it :notsure:

it’s all in what you value. If you value it, go for it. I just couldn’t care less. Do you not have home internet? Just curious. I know some people don’t and just use their phones.

I like the android environment loads more. I will admit. But the iPhones are free for me supplied by work so I’ll use them. Have to use the one for work so might as well use it for personal too so I only need one cord at home/work/trok.

but I do have two gripes.

    1. no bezel on the screen. The only way to protect the corners is with a wrap around case which is bulky. Inherent design flaw, sides and corners are the weakest parts of the screen.

    2. they gave the EU the middle finger for standardizing charging ports to eliminate e waste. Now they’re spinning it that if they move away to a standard usb C then they’ll actually create more e waste because everyone has the proprietary apple cables. So for that, Apple, :luvya:

When I say office, I mean my work office, not my home. I have full coverage at my house, but I don't have unlimited hot spotting to use it as anything more than a phone. My wi-fi is fine for the house stuff, but I was surprised that my 5G is that much faster than my home Wi-Fi atm. I need to play around with my repeater some more.

It's frustrating at work, because if I'm out in the lobby, my phone is fine, if I'm out back in the lab, my phone is fine, if I'm sitting at my desk in my office, I have nothing. If nothing else it keeps the distractions away.
