We had an IrocZ for drivers ed. It had a 55mph governor in it. The most depressing automatic sports car ever.

Anyone know what the name of the part is that secures part of the rear wheel well/fender/body to the frame/crossmember of truck? It is some kind of angled metal bracket located just in front of the rear wheels. Mine rotted out so I’m trying to find a replacement, but not knowing the actual name of the part makes looking it up on toyota parts websites or the forum tricky. Searching for bed bracket, support or body support or bracket didn’t get me anywhere. I can hear the body panel flopping around a bit while driving and it’s getting annoying.

Volvo also patented the 3-point safety belt, which was later mandated. Safety is one of Volvo's driving principles. I'm sure that there was a ton of kickback then about seatbelts. Hell, there's still a contigent of people thinking slamming into the windshield is somehow safer than not.

Do I like electronic nannies? Not really, but we're also an enthuiast crew that typically know how to drive. A friend's Pontiac G8 GT would ding every time you exceeded 65 MPH annoyingly unless you disabled it. Ultimately this feature, like most all the electronic nannies in cars, can still be disabled. Until it cannot be disabled, if it keeps the average Altima from swerving all over the highway at 20 over, it's not a bad thing.

You need to set up a GoFundMe or Kickstarter to get out of RI ASAP. You're miserable there.

I wanted an 89-94 Maxima SE in the worst way in high school, back in the 4DSC era. The 95+ cars were well out of my budget, but I couldn't find a rough enough SE in my budget. I haven't seen one of those in person in ages. I wonder if they'd have the same allure.

The bracket you need should be on that diagram. It looks like 65671D on the diagram.

@maal11 scheduled for the TSB with Boch South, it's spitting distance from work, supposed to be going in Monday. They said they would have to verify it before they can apply it, can't just do it without verification, so I hope that works out with them. If not, I'll be calling your recommendation.

And to their credit, they opened the patent, no license fees.
    https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/...received-a-patent-that-saved-countless-lives/

It's not like I talk about leaving RI constantly, and trash it every day....

But, credit where it's due, I do like it here. Short commutes, good food, good people, good nightlife, everything is accessible, nice beaches within spitting distance, easy public transport (busses, trains) to NYC, hell we got direct flights to Miami out of Green! (back in the day....), and one time we took a flight out of Boston. Cape is right there, Boston is right there :)puke:), I really just find stuff to complain about.

My '95 was an SE which basically meant it got the white face gauges and a rear spoiler. It was my uncle's old car that he was going to give to his granddaughter but she didn't want it so he gave it to me. It had about 230k on it when I got it. I kept it about a year before the transmission started acting up. It had an awful lot of rust underneath, the spoiler was reattached with some sort of adhesive, both front fenders had rusted out so I replaced them and did a rattlecan paint job on them (even that was a huge improvement over the rusted ones), so it really wasn't worth putting money into. One of my favorite things was that it didn't have ABS!

I rarely see them around anymore. I mostly see '97 and up Maximas with the different front end.

My friend had a 92 Stanza in HS and he retrofitted Maxima SE white face gauges into it and they worked.

I liked the mid-year Maximas of that era, with the integrated fogs into the bumper, but still the headlights of the 95. The later iteration with the VQ got kinda frumpy with the larger headlights.

There’s someone in IG who is making a replica of Vince’s Maxima from the first FnF movie complete with the correct supercharger.

I had a 1984 Camaro when I was 18. Had it up to 135-140 and no governor..but then again it was a cop car before I got it so IDK if that's typical

This plus in general less shit to break, though that's because I drove so many cars that were 10 years old or more..around the time that stuff would start to break or was broken before I bought the vehicle. I don't care for the backup camera idea either..I'll say it does occasionally help a little bit on Cupcake's Rav4 but I use it if I'm trying to fine-tune the spot, not to do the whole process. Having to park both vehicles on the same side of the driveway some nights lately I do have to admit it's not bad.

    Or Polecat?

Mine was a 84 base model..boring to look at. If you could see it when I opened it up that is..

    Yeah!! SPITTERS ARE QUITTERS!!
