Yeah, last year was just like this year in terms of snow. Cold weather--cold weather--cold weather--WARM UP!--Rain--cold weather--cold weather--cold weather.

But at least last year it was cold enough consistently that we were ice fishing in December rather than the ponds just getting iced over halfway through January.

100" of snow in one shot would be VERY BAD for fishing and snowmobiling. My season would be screwed. Groomers would break all over the state and trail riding would suck. The mountain guys might finally have a use for the big sticks they have been buying en masse on the East coast.

Eh. Depends on the trail club. The local ones here just use modified SUV's on Mattracks and I'm sure they'd struggle. But a lot of them up North & in the mountains use actual snow-cats and they probably wouldn't have too much trouble with it. With the flotation they have it doesn't matter if it's 2 feet or 20; they'll only sink a few inches.

Did some work on the truck last night... Fixed some aux lighting issues I was having. One of my weatherproof switches died... Any have leads on weatherproof switches that last longer than 10 months mounted to the side of a roof rack?

(disregard the mess in the barn still waiting on Irving to drop a tank for the heater so I can finish setting it all up)

I'm using these in an outside condition. So far, so good, but time will tell. It's been installed for about 4 months and is under the hood of the truck. I'm going to install another one on the tongue of the travel trailer also if the one under the hood holds up. It came with a wiring harness to make the installation nice and easy. I buttered it up with dielectric grease when I plugged them in so we'll see.

I'll have to check this out - I have gone through the 5 pack of my "weatherproof" switches in 6 years...

Needed to drive the truck figured it would be a fun day to. Pulled a car out of the backroads ditch this morning too.

I drove to and from Albany yesterday. They did that liquid salt shit. I was quivering. I hit the car wash before I went home last night at like 8 even though it was still snowing

Also, fun fact - I saw dozens of raptor lights on Tacos and 4runners. Mostly 4Rs. I only saw ONE raptor yesterday, and their lights weren't even on! :p

I made it very clear that any damage done to his vehicle was on him. It was a straight pull back and I just hooked up to his tow hook.

You could check out OTRATTW to see if they sell any sealed switch bodies. They might have something for a winch that's meant to be outside all the time that you could repurpose with a new cover.

Thinking it might be time to redo the aux electrical system this spring. I want to add additional aux reverse lights and swap out the scene lights for some Diode led pods.. Also wouldn't mind switching over to a switchpro or a panel controller.

I like the Switchpro, damn pricey for what it is though! I'm on the fence about adding the Ford upfitter switch panel to the Super Duty. Problem is, similar to you, it'd require me to redo everything I've done to date which I'm not overly excited about...

Yea ripping it all out and redoing it just stresses me out but I just hate the idea of just adding more wires to a future rats nest. The aux fuse panel is setup fairly modular, turns out I don't even use the relays in that fuse panel...

I was enticed but not for $18,000! Used, I'd get one no problem. The only reason I got the new Iron 1200 was the retro red, white, and blue paint scheme :notsure: :oldglory:

I have washed my white Crosstrek ONCE since I got it like 2.5 years ago  The underside of it is growing more orange and angry by the second! I've gotta sell this thing ASAP...
Upfitter switches are a definite add on I want when I get my Alumiduty in the future!
