That's odd. The XLT I've been driving to road test (needed a new trans 300 miles into its life) has heated seats, power folding mirrors, all sorts of stuff!

A plug-in tuner is still possible, and easy to do :notsure:
Pawn it off? Nooooo... never.... :anonymous: It is a GREAT car, just not great for me.

I kind of get a kick out of the fake engine noise on my F-150. The last one didn't have it, only Lariats and up get it. In normal mode it doesn't do it unless you really get on it. In sport mode, it does it more often. It's impressive how realistic it is.

Hello everyone... I was part of that statistic of 16.5 million people that call out for Superbowl Monday.

I fear you are correct. Eventually there will be so many EV's on the road that gas and diesel will cost so much that no one will be able to afford to drive an ICE anymore.

Its damn good! It was a gift from my dad, so aside from the sticker shock of the bottle, it means a little more to me.
I drive the Crosstrek, then I hop in the STi and I'm like
    [IMG]

If you aren't buying a first gen Viper, we can't be friends.
I preordered the new Chevelle album on vinyl. I have a turntable and a pretty decent collection. Lots of original Beatles, Wings, Kiss, Queen, 38 Special, etc.
I love Dax, and I saw some behind the scenes on MotorTrend, it looks pretty decent. Nothing beats the relationships and chemistry built over time, but I think this one might have a chance. I loved Top Gear US 1.0, but I agree the manufactured personalities were obvious and annoying at times.

My gf would be spoiled and thrilled!

6 or 10? :| I've heard some issues with the 10R80 mostly on the 5.0s, I think it's people just ragging on it and then blaming the transmission for not being used for what it was built for :notsure: or are you talking SD?

I haven't seen much of him, I think he's a good enough guy I guess.

I liked some of the stuff Top Gear did, I won't lie. But a decent amount just didn't work. Have heard that Foust is kind of a ..... I'll cut myself off there.

My XLTs have been pretty basic. My 2013 F150 had some bells and whistles (still no heated seats). My Super Duties have been stripped, you can get an STX with more options than I have. I have basic SYNC, manual seats, manual mirrors, cloth seats (no heat), 40-20-40 split bench front seat, came with a vinyl steering wheel (which sort of pissed me off, I swapped the steering wheel with a leather-wrapped lariat wheel), solid rear window, no fog lights, no rear parking sensors (camera only), no lane change crap or adaptive anything. It really is about 1 step above a work truck.

6 speed Super Duty with a 6.2. Just a defective pump/torque converter in the transmission. We replaced the trans and it is good as new.

I actually haven't heard anything negative on the 10 speed. I'm not a fan, but I would own one.

Faust is a bitch, but he can drive! :burnrubber:

I dunno, I think I personally would get a Lariat with the panoramic sunroof. If and when I get one of these trucks, I'll probably own it til New England reclaims the frame.

I love the heated and cooled seats, and there's something about that sunroof that makes my bits tingle

The overlap and redundancy in Ford trucks is odd. An STX is objectively nicer than a base XLT and a 302a XLT has some stuff a base Lariat doesn't. The Platinum, Limited, and King Ranch are basically the same thing with different styling, especially now that the high output engine isn't in the Limited anymore.

Have you seen many issues with those sunroofs? One of my Subarus had one that rattled and another where the shade kept breaking so I'm a little afraid of them.

I thought the 1st gen 10 speed had some issue with something rubbing internal. Could have been the transfer case but I thought it was tranny related. Ford seemed to have sorted it out pretty quick, but there were quite a few reports of brand new 10 speeds that were FUBAR'd with very low miles on them.
The only item that the base XLT has that you can't get on any STX is the keypad on the door. I know you can add it afterwards, but that seems like a PITA to take on. All my Super Duties seem to have been a pretty specific build, XLT but stripped. They were all fleet vehicles at that start of their lives. Fine with me, everything I need, none of the crap I don't. Loaded Lariat would be cool, but on the Ford forums, a lot of the problems seem to be related to the sun roof leaking, the massaging seats not working, the electronic tailgate malfunctioning, all electronic crap. I'll take my work truck over dealing with that noise.

Not too many issues. I have one customer with a persistent rattling noise, but they also have a headache rack and other things that I think they're hearing. We see some leaks here and there, but nothing out of the norm. I just love having the sunshade open while driving. It makes driving enjoyable
That must have been an early 10 speed issue, because I have seen more issues with the 6 speed than I have the 10. Plus they have the benefit of better mileage and hauling. It's a no brainer! (wow I never thought I would say that).

They definitely have some weird combinations for builds. I still don't understand how you can spend $50k on a truck and get a plastic steering wheel. The XLT I'm driving has a plastic one, but has power heated seats and all the other options. It doesn't make any sense to me.

Ew. I'll be honest I love my power slider  one of the few gimmicky things I will absolutely fall for :D

    Hate those.

Hate those. I have both. Lane change was on for like, half the first day. Then, off. Fortunately it's easy to turn it off and it has status memory so I don't have to turn it off every time I drive. I got the adaptive cruise, I do like it, but - I think it's more suited for a sedan than a truck, with my driving habits. I'd be happy without it now, but when buying it was a "must have". Now - I could take it or leave it, as long as I have the option of constant speed cruise as a secondary. If that's not an option, then no thanks.

I wish I had manual seats now. The only time I ever move my seat, it's to clean or get to the front or back underneath it, like last night doing the antenna cable run. And the issue was - I had to sit there holding the button for 45 seconds. It's a minor annoyance, but it's still an annoyance. I could have just hit the lever and it's gone with manual seats.

I've heard some people complaining about the shifting patterns, very dramatically, and then you see the rest of their complaint is typically "It doesn't shift right from 7th to 8th when I'm hammer down and between 90 and 95". Yeah no shit.

I test drove a ranger. I liked it, definitely drove better than the tacoma but....too many speeds. I like the 6.

Faust - yeah. That's a bit nicer than I was going to say from what I have read

I hate sunroofs now. Similar to the adaptive cruise, when I bought my old mazda hatch, the must haves were a sunroof, and heated seats (which, with those as the "must haves" means also leather). I don't regret it, but I hardly used the sunroof. Not enough to justify spending more for it on my tacoma when I bought. Cool, but not worth it in my mind. Plus, drains and headroom. My coworker also had a rock shatter hers on the highway, what a mess that was. Fortunately it was closed and her slider thing was closed and it was the summer. But still. :puke:

For what I would get out of it, in my mind - it wasn't worth spending for it this go around.

Generally, you and I agree. I really like the rear slider, it's awesome and I really miss it but, the rest of the truck was right for me so sacrifices were made...

I really like the rear beeps, more so than the camera. I grew up and was taught to drive not having the beeps or the camera so I look over my shoulder and use my mirrors, I don't stare at the camera. I like the beeps because I can back up the way I normally do and it'll beep if I get close or don't see something, then I can look at the camera to see what I'm about to hit. With just the camera, I don't stare at it unless I'm hitching up to the camper (in which case the camera is awesome although I was getting pretty good hitching up the 150 without the camera).

Haha Yeah I turned that lane assist shit off real fast the day I brought it home. I do like the Adaptive Cruise and I use it a good amount but I like the fact I you can change it to "regular" cruise control too if I wanted to use it that way. Power seat is nice but yeah I wish it had 2 speeds on the damn thing hahaha.

Power seats are neat, but sort of a wasted feature in my opinion. I'm the only one who drives the truck, I set the seat once and it never moves so why have a motor in there? Heated seats are worth it, I wish I had built in heated seats but the cover I bought is a decent compromise.
