Fair enough. Yeah if everything else on that Tacoma was great I'd be fine without a rear window or a power slider.

I use the camera more than I thought I would. Usually just to see how far back I am going. I'll use my mirrors mostly though. I do find myself using it more and more though. Not the worst thing but not a great habit. At least I learned and drove for a while without so my lizard brain is still there if I go without it

I'll even add one more - It wouldn't be so bad, if it had memory in the positions. My 2004 Jeep GC had TWO memories! So if you did move it, it would go back to the memory position. 16 years later, and Toyota has just introduced power seats

It's nice enough, I just have no benefit from it compared to a manual seat, and the only thing it does is take longer when I am moving it. So. Hardly seems worth it.

Yeah I hear ya on not moving it but it was nice that also goes up and down and tilt it forward and back. I also like the lumbar support as I have sciatica issues once in a while.

    More snow!

Also you don't need backup sensors. Just leave a big ass tow hitch in the receiver and backup until you bump into whatever's behind you. #science.

I don't leave anything in the receiver but the class IV receiver is pretty beefy and hangs down below the bumper. Most small vehicles would hit that

Memory seats are awesome! Now when anyone else touches my truck I don't spend two days trying to get it back to exactly where I like it. Just hit the first preset and the seat, mirrors, wheel, and pedals all move back to my spot.

In my shopping for the perfect F150 I have discovered that Ford has the most confusing packages of any car company. Thank god Joe was here to cull my potentials! Now I know what to look for.

Honestly one of the reasons I probably wouldn't switch to a ford in the future. There's no reason for that shit to be that confusing IMO

Won't lie, I've heard good things about them but they're definitely a niche car. A lot of people think they're something they definitely are not

I had the power seats in the 150 and I liked that they adjusted the height. None of my 250's have that option but, fortunately, they seem to be at the correct seat height for my height. With the manual seats, the clicks are so far apart, it's pretty easy to get back where I was before.
Honestly, it's really only an issue if you're ordering. If you're going used, just know what options you really must have, then see what's on the lot although searching for specific options is a huge pain in the rear. All of the manufacturers do the 'packages' to some degree. It's confusing, but there were enough other 'pros' for me to stick with Ford over the other guys.

I had a receiver on my mazda for bicycle moving. Backing into spots at work there's a pavement back stop, if I scraped the hitch I called it my backup sensor

Very valid point. I've yet to buy a new vehicle so that's probably why. This 2012 is the newest vehicle I've owned

The combinations are sometimes unnecessary (Lariat 500a and XLT 300a are kind of pointless IMO), and sometimes they hold back the good options to incentivize you to get the higher trims (LED headlights from 15-20, for example), but the amount of different ways they can be configured gives them an edge over others.

Want 470 ft lbs of torque in a regular cab work truck? No problem!

Want Android Auto in something that doesn't look like a fleet truck, but don't care about much else? That's what the STX is for.

Want a family crew cab with some creature comforts and a giant sunroof, but don't want to pay $60k? An XLT 302a with all the option boxes checked can be had for in the 40s out the door.

Want something loaded, but have no use for a people hauler? You can get a Lariat 502a in a SuperCab (extended cab). That's what I did.

I'm with you on this one. These back issues are no joke! And power seats are far more adjustable!
It is great at what it does. Good mileage, great grip, and good ground clearance (9"!!!). I just want to throw a turbo or supercharger on it.

And then, to throw a completely different curve, even though the 150 and 250 share the same cabin, the options and packages are completely different!

It all has to come down to the manufacturing line. I know the same cab would be a huge help, but the options packages have to be along the same train of thought - they're way different because of the manufacturing process or designs needed elsewhere.

Yeah, a loaded Lariat F-250 is actually cheaper than an F-150, but then you look at the two and many of the F-150 Lariat options aren't on the Super Duties until you get to the even higher trims.

And she wanted it to hurt, so you punched her..

Wife's Rav4 has the power seat and lumbar, which is almost a must have for her with her myriad back issues
