Back in college, (unnamed) serviced Orono area. They notoriously gave you the runaround for customer retention, basically trying to force an extra month or so out of college students. I didn't have the time for that, so when I called I said "yeah I just got engaged and I'm moving in with my new fiance" and rather than the 3-4 hour runaround just to cancel, I got a congratulations and within 5 minutes I was off the phone. Classmate the next day was complaining that they dragged her around for 6 hours (and I believe that number) and she finally gave up and was going to try again later - told her my method, she tried it and got a similar response - about 5 minutes and cancelled no worries. Wonder if that spread and became a trend up there, they must think there's a ton of engagements at UMaine

you just gotta look around, and any added cost is probably less than a trigger job

That is true... but most of us are tinkerers and modders so... where's the fun in that? Case in point, I have a 3 lb trigger on an old, WWII Russian rifle that's one of my favorite to shoot :D

I wish I was less accessible sometimes. I had an hour webex call last week and kept having people just barge in and start talking. If I lock the door, they stand and wave at me and don't seem to notice or care that I'm on a call.

One of my techs' offices is technically a periodical storage room for my office (mine was the librarian's office when such a thing existed). The only way into his office is through mine. It's about 150 sq ft and we tore out all the shelves and tiled the floor so it's a nice space now. I'm debating trading offices with him so people have to go through him to get to me instead of the other way around. The struggle is I have one of the nicest offices in the district right now and I hate to give it up.

 what a good problem to have! At the moment I have 3 desks in my building. One down in my old department, one back in my first department and my now current department, and one tucked away in a tiny conference room that I've commendeered since they told us "when not alone in a closed room you shall have a mask on" so I can come in here. Although today, my "office" is freaking COLD!

I spend about 30 minutes a day at my desk, otherwise I try to be on the floor as much as possible. I hate desk work. I don't mind it in the winter - I'll go home and then rather than do F-all since it's 4 degrees outside, I'll catch up on my desk shenanigans and then bail early the next day etc. Today looks beneficial for that - no way in hell I'm going out on a run/bike ride with the dog after work today!

Not to mention that it's on a custom chassis and not the original wooden stock. I don't remember if yours is cut down or not?

You should shoot the S&W Bodyguard in .380... I couldn't hit a billboard from point blank range with that fucking trigger. It's horrific. That was the last gun I purchased in MA before I moved.

I'm fairly certain the FFL has to make sure what is being transferred is legal. So no, you can't transfer in firearms that are spec'd out for other states.

Best thing to do is get out of MA and not have to worry about registering and transferring...

I didn't even notice until now the pictures are all at weird angles. I swear I took them all the same way with my phone in the vertical position...no idea how I screwed that up. :notsure:

Which illustrates how much of a difference a decent trigger makes; mine actually holds pretty tight groups for a small gun, and I'd consider the trigger to be pretty middle-of-the-road. Nowhere near as crisp as pretty much any of my other S&W's

Yeah... it's had a few upgrades done to her. She's not cut down though so still like 8' long! I've debated putting a scope on it. Got the urge more so now that the range I go to is making the 300 yard range more accessible. Used to only open it once in a blue moon, now they do every other weekend! I'm dying to stretch that rifle out a bit and see what kind of groups I can make but not with iron sights.
It's OK, we know you're going Insta-Pro on us.

I haven't even shot my Mosin since last summer. :anonymous:
I thought about bringing it with us when we went winter camping, but between the Sub2k, my M&P9, my AR, my Shield (EDC), my savage .22, & my shotgun (for the actual rabbit hunting) and the associated ammo, plus the assortment that my buddy brought, we were already hauling in almost 100lbs of ordnance

See, you could have brought the same weight in with a Mosin and a couple 'Spam cans'. Pre-packaged and ready to go although I'm not sure there'd be much rabbit left if you managed to actually hit one.

The photos I posted of your truck are oriented correctly on my phone. TW just doesn't like me much.
TW automatically rotates them incorrectly for me lol.
What have you done to that trigger? I would mod mine, but it's a pocket carry without a safety. The trigger is the safety.

I didn't have a dinner plan but SPAM and gnocchi w/ mushrooms and broccoli soup sounds like it's in the cards now.

Nothing but pull it a lot, lol. Granted, that group wasn't at long range, roughly 15 feet. But it's a carry gun, so I do probably 90% of my practice with them in the 15-50 foot range. The pattern with that gun opens up considerably at 50 feet, but I can still put all of them into the black on a 'creepy stalker' (silhouette) target

Six feet of rabbit, with a head at one end and a tail & two lucky feet at the other

If in fact that ends up the case, it was the neighbor's tree if I read your initial post correctly so they should do it.

I just had a tree removed, wasn't sure which side of the line it was on and town hall survey records didn't help. Fortunately I have a good relationship with my neighbor so we each paid half..I told the tree guys to put everything on my side since my lawn isn't the best and his is a golf course.
