He said he had that why did I spend that much feeing when he walked out of the store. But is excited still. And he will play, he has many years playing acoustic, has had cheap amps and electric guitars in the past. In November I saw a guitar neck sticking out of a trash can down the road, told him about it and he went to check it out. After cleaning it up, getting mom to paint it and having a knob fixed he is excited to play this.

He just brought it back from getting fixed, he has the strings, but had to go some where. I’m sure I’ll hear it before the night is out.

Yup. I think I’m under gvwr that needs to be inspected every year or something like that but full size trucks are not so they do inspection annually too I’m every other. Or something weird like that. But when I went to renew I got tripped up because I’m combo not passenger.

but both times it was expired! It expired March 2020 I got popped for speeding in July 2020 in Louisiana and the moron who called the cops on me was September (maybe august but I think September) 2020 in Rhode Island.

Did some truck stuff. That CB pass through jacked it up and I cut up my center stack next to the blank so I had zero quarrels just drilling into it for now. Hangs nice and now I have the center cubby back for both phones score.

added the air dam. Needed to cut out the recovery point. Didn’t care to make it look nice :notsure: it’s easy on easy off. I used the universal clip kit from harbor freight and a cordless impact so I can take it off in about 2 minutes and I’ll leave the hardware on. I’ll probably leave this on unless I’m planning to go wheeling that day or weekend, maybe in the summers I’ll leave it off. TBD. I actually right now in the dark kind of like how it looks it covers up some of the “mechanical” view that you get without it.

Painted my Toyota logos red. Did a shoddy job but wanted to do a cool kids thing.

I have too many vehicles and a mixed bag of doing oil changes myself or bringing it to the local shop. The Tacoma I change myself. I have no garage but it is easy to do it in the driveway. We have a new 2021 Highlander and we actually purchased the maintenance agreement up to 60K miles since I knew that with my current schedule it would just be easy to have them do it and the price for the whole package was less than paying for each service individually. We paid for convenience and since it was a hybrid I wanted some eyes on it that were more familiar with that side of things. My Dad passed away in November and left me his 2009 Tacoma with a hair under 37K miles on it, with a plow. That will get driveway oil changes also. The remaining two....well, one is a 2006 MINI and the oil filter is a cartridge that even when on a lift you need to be a contortionist to get to. No way to do that one in the driveway. The last is a 1971 Triumph TR6. That is driven only enough to change the oil once a year so it will typically get done at my friends garage since he has a lift. (And a 1975 TR6, stock motor but supercharged and intercooled, and a 1975 TVR, with a Land Rover Defender II V8 in it)

Why did you add the air dam? Thing’s looking like a Ford the way it’s dragging it’s chin now!

im doing a road trip and it’s all highway. Got it free so :notsure: if it adds mpg yee haw. And now that I have it on there and don’t mind the look I’ll probably just leave it until I go wheeling. Once I do that once I’ll know if it really is easy on off. If it’s a pain then I’ll leave it off and just have it for road trips.

Last I remember (though it's been about 14 years since) from my auction days, if the plate is legal/insured and you have paperwork saying you just purchased the vehicle (title or similar substitute if issued by a government agency) you have 3 days.

Oooh he bought you a present!

Clean your act up and don't be a slob...

I am late to conversation. But I don't know why anyone who changes their own oil wouldn't use a fumoto. It makes it so easy and quick. Just keep an eye out for oil when it's on sale/ has rebates and buy cases in bulk. I usually get an oversized filter as well. Some other Toyota, maybe the newer generation Tundra, fits my 98 Landcruiser. It's like 3x the size of the stock, and everyone knows bigger is better. Plus it holds like an extra 1/2 quart or so of oil. I got a box of those as well like a hoarder a while ago and am good for probably few years on filters.

That being said I still don't do my wifes 5th gen t4r unless i really have to. Just because the filter is buried under like 3 layers of skid plates and other assorted covers. I have no issue with the little filter and have the removal tool. It's pretty easy and the filter drain makes it nice and clean. But fuck removing all that plastic and metal to get at the filter.

The air dam can’t hurt for road use. Might also aid stability at highway speed.

I can tell you exactly why I haven't gone with a Fumoto, one realistic, one is just me being neurotic. The neurotic one is I don't like having a ball valve on the drain plug. Freaks me out that it's going to get hit by something or start leaking and I'll run the truck low on oil. I know, lots of people have them, they don't leak and don't get hit, even with people using their vehicle off road. I admit, it's a dumb reason, but whatever.
The real reason is, on the Ford forums, people are claiming it takes over 20 minutes to drain the oil, it's a slow drain due to the volume and the smaller drain hole. I want the oil to come out with some velocity so it will keep anything in suspension and bring it out with the oil. It's not a big deal to me to have to just pull the plug.
