I still remember she took a van around the ring and took down a bunch of supercars with the time.

Thanks - looking forward to it. It's a straight haul to Amarillo and then more relaxed after that.

woof. Thats a long stretch. I have family in Conway AR and did CT to there in one stretch but it was exhausting.

Good luck, be safe, and enjoy the travels!

It's not "straight shot" but basically driving all day, kipping up for the nights. Should be getting to Amarillo Friday night or Saturday morning. After that it's more relaxed, less miles per day.

Yeah - fun drive, not for work or anything so it's more relaxed. Thank you!

I DID learn though - when you cover your speakers with 6" couch cushions, it magically blocks some sound, who would have thought!? So it sounds a little like I have water in my right ear for music at least

Im actually planning on taking a quick trip to my Moms just north of Chicago to help move some of her stuff down to my grandpas in Arkansas.

On the leg home, I was planning on stopping somewhere along the blue ridge parkway to camp for a night. I’m sure I can make it in one shot like I did a couple years ago, but I dont want to push it. Planning on just over 3k miles round trip between maybe 5 days.

Ya my 17 doesn’t have any of the safety drive you nuts expensive to fix help erode my skills type stuff. It does have the backup camera, and my use of mirrors has gone down. But I can now back up and hook up a trailer by myself.

Agreed, what makes me laugh is when folks complain it down shits when going up hill, then you have those that bitch it holds gears too long when going up hills.

me-I just yell at myself when it’s not in the right gear.

I didn't have tranny issues, I just got too many beeps and boops. Fixing them is the real issue. And if I'm driving in my woods on tight "trails", well, crashes will happen.

The tech crap is with a lot of new vehicles, so I can’t put that issue on tacos.

:spy: you can go in trails without hitting things.

I say that not from experience so :notsure:

I actually got the first false alarm the other day - was using adaptive cruise and a bridge shadow on the highway hit the brakes for me and put some beeps. Wasn’t too bad and with about 22k only one false alarm I’m not too fussed.

I'm talking on my own property on things that might not officially be trials. It can get tight!
