    So, just for discussion sake.

I was looking at a lot of info on the new Nissan 400z coming out this year, some photos of the production model leaked a day ago or something so new articles were popping up. I like it a lot, and I think its gonna be a hit. I have no idea if I'd ever get one, but if I did, maybe it would be my "bright car" as the yellow looks phenomenal.

This car, and the new Lexus 300 or whatever they are throwing a NA V-8 in are two cars that have me interested. The lexus is ugly AF though inside and the grill, so I wouldn't realllllly consider it. This nissan has a drivers interior still, even if they did add a touch screen, it isn't popping up above the dash, which is something that is 100% a deal breaker for me. I will never, never, ever, buy a car that has that feature, I hate it and all designers who incorporate that trend should be fired or shot, you pick. I'm voting for the latter.

Anyways, anyone else been keeping an eye on either of em?

I really want my 'fun' car to be a Polaris Slingshot. I have no place to keep it though. I have been looking at cruiser motorcycles though. If we actually end up moving somewhere more rural, I got the green light to add to the stable and pick one up. Too many nut cases on the road around here.
Whoa... nice dodge! Reminds me of something Ron White said about deer hunting. You slow that bullet down to about 55 mile an hour, give it head lights and a horn and you'll never miss!

The slingshot would be really cool, or the KTM one is even cooler. But $$$ isn't far off from a car, so I think it'd be hard to convince the wife.

What kind of bike would you look at?

Storing things is my issue too, and I'm ready to build a garage, but my builder retired and is now ignore me lol. He said he'd do it with me as a project, he lives down the road and we've become friends (I think so at least lol) and he seemed excited to do it. But he hasn't returned a call in 3 weeks and last time I drove by him he gave me the finger :anonymous: So I reached out to a company in Deerfield MA last night, and will be hoping to hear back from them. Once I have a place to put stuff, the wife better take the check book because theres lots of things I've wanted but have had no where to put them...:drevil::devil:

The Slingshot is like $20k used, maybe a little less. Also registered as a motorcycle so technically, you need a helmet. The KTM one is really cool but over $40k I believe!

I'm not sure what I'm looking at yet. I'm short so need something small framed. The issue is, I don't want a beginner bike, I want something with some balls so something 800 cc to about 1,100 cc. Some of the bigger displacement cruisers get pretty stretched out and are big, heavy lugs. If I can find something bigger than 1,100 that's in a usable package (and not a Sportster), I'd consider that also. Once I get seriously looking, I'll sit on a few and see what fits. I've done the Victory test rides when they came to Mom's South and found a few models I liked but, since they don't make them any longer, not sure I'd buy one... Maybe Boulevard S90, Vulcan 900, something along those lines.

I wish the Aerial Atom was legal to drive on the roads of the US. I would take that thing over the slingshot any day.

Well yeah... I'd take that over most things I could drive on the road. Legality aside, they're pretty serious money!

Serious money yes......but they look fun as hell. Especially the one with the supercharged V8. I would still take the one with the Honda engine though.

I'd want the Morgan 3 wheeler, if we were spending that sort of money on a not-motorcycle. Either that or a Caterham. Both look like a ton of fun to bomb around on.

I bet you'd get a LOT of looks with the Morgan. Those are really sharp looking.
You're crushing my hopes and dreams! I don't see the Slingshot as a replacement for a bike, but something that would be fun to commute in.

with a bike you can ride around the rough sections on roads. In a slingshot you’re in the tracks and the center of the lane you can’t avoid anything. Rough rides around here.

it's cheap, everything rattles like it's going to fall apart. plus the way the headrest is set up it pushes your head down if you have a helmet on

Funny you say that. I see them in Boston frequently, or I did when I was still working down town, I never saw any of the drivers wearing a helmet.

It's a pipe dream for me anyways. Not having a roof means they need to be garage kept and that's not in the cards for me right now. I'd pick up a cruiser first.

Probably. And like I said, they look like they'd be a ton of fun. Expensive for what you get, though.

in ma driver and pass are supposed to have helmets. in ri only passenger i believe. either way they're big hunks of over priced cheap plastic. plus they're huge so you might as well get a convertible instead. that way you at least have a roof if it rains, and ac and heat

morgan 3 wheeler is definitely the way to go if you wanted something 3 wheeled, trex. but both are expensive

I believe Polaris used a cheap GM 4 banger for the power plant also so nothing crazy powerful. That's disappointing about the cheap, plastic feel. Sounds like I'll just stick to 2 wheels

Can't have that! My problem is I don't really like many of the small convertibles. My favorite by far is the S2000 but they're going for stupid money, if you can even find one in good shape. I'm not a fan of the Miata or Z3, I like the 350Z but hard top, the convertible looks weird. All hypothetical anyways, no place to store another vehicle where we're at. I need a house with a garage first, then I can start looking. In all reality, if we go through with the house move, my next vehicle purchase will likely be a tractor since we're looking at larger lots. On the plus side, it'd likely be a sporty orange color!
