I have an older computer speaker setup that I use. 2 small speakers on either side and a subwoofer. It's not a lot, but certainly does the trick. I got a Bluetooth speaker for Christmas that we'll try out this year. It's small but packs a pretty good punch. I've been using it for working on the truck, camper and in the garage this Spring, it should be fine for movies.

@mach1man001 looking for my outboard FSM I stumbled upon these gems from 2013. Back in the day when the RI spot powerline had that neat ledge to climb up.IMG_2154.jpg

Adapters are readily available that will change the Mic cable connection into what every type of connection you need. (3.5mm mini jack, 1/4" headphone jack, RCA, etc.)

Ahh, I was wondering that, just haven’t checked that route yet. I need to bust out the projector and check my connections/options

Good to know. Yeah I'm passing through actually around dinner time I think next Friday, I'll have to check their hours on my way up to VT. It's not too far out the way. Hell, I went to Amarillo for a steak - I can add a few minutes for real BBQ :D

Where people now can get arrested, apparently. Someone was saying someone got arrested on a side by side. Can't remember who now. Also don't know the whole story either.

The beauty of using a 1/4" headphone jack is that you can run shielded wire over whatever distance you need(within reason) and the cords are easy to find and relatively cheap. Plus you are future proofed for the most part since it is easy to find an adapter that goes from 1/4" headphone to whatever you need. Most people are getting around the whole cable situation by going to bluetooth but there is a certain amount of consistency in going old style cable rather than wireless. It is a much more stable set-up, assuming all your cables and connectors are in decent shape.

may, I’m trying to avoid the Bluetooth thing. I figure I’ll either need batteries, or power cord or make sure I charge between uses and sometimes they will be on for close to 12 hours for 3 to 4 days in a row.

Wireless bluetooth does not necessarily mean that everything that is communicating with each other is not being powered by electricity. Many bluetooth speakers today have the capacity to run either off internal batteries or off electricity. The weak spot can be the internet connection that is needed to work. If for some reason the internet is down or operating at slow speeds that can ruin your audio quality or eliminate the audio completely. Nothing is more reliable than hard lines so if that if reliability is most important to you then you run hard lines where you need them.

That my alter ego (wife), some would say better half, but to be accurate she deserves more than half the credit.

I figure if I need to deal with power line or what not to keep em juiced, I might as well just deal with speaker wires.

I may have missed it but I am not sure what you are trying to set up. 20+ years ago I was tasked with getting an audio set-up for my work her at a Recreation Center. The internet was not as commonly used for purchases back then so I sourced information and the ultimate purchase from the local music center here in Brunswick. They were knowledgeable and extremely helpful and actually sold us speakers from a local manufacturer in the Lewiston/Auburn area. I have no idea if that source is still in business since I do not know who the business was. We also purchased an amplifier and wireless microphone. Today all the pieces still work just like the day we bought them and the price was reasonable. You might try that route to make sure what you are sourcing will function to meet your needs.

Agreed. Much easier in the long run, especially if the equipment will remain set up for a long time.

Anyone local have a GoPro I can borrow to view the underside of my truck while driving? Bad vibes since going back stock, and I swear sometimes it feels like the motor mounts are moving.

Don't forget - no batteries, too. Do you know how annoying it is to turn my headphones on for a run, or a ride, or to watch some YooToob before bed and the first thing she says is "battery low".

If I got that after setting up the kids for a movie night, I'd be angry. I know some are wired bluetooth speakers but if you're already running power wire, why not add the speaker wire? My speakers in my office at home are wired and I DO have a bluetooth connector, and that is running off mains.

Even back in my day! I think part of it was the lock downs and people were going out there and camping. But then the recent shenanigans of rolling jeeps at midnight followed by firearms violations, they ended up going in with the hammer and being strict. :( have seen some facebook posts of people going, but that was like a Thursday afternoon. I'm sure they're more focused out there on the weekends than during the week.

True. People have been always been camping in that pit and generally turning it into a trash pile though with all the broken glass and nonsense. I think it was the fatality that really put it from tolerated to not.

Anyone in central - metrowest mass have a good mosquito/tick service or diy solution? Seems like I keep getting a zip code tax when seeking a quote.

Yup. There are at least 2 burned out vehicles I know of out there. One in each pit used to camp in. But, it was just kind of some redneck-edness out there for a while. During the 'rona you have a lot of people going out there since they can't do the beach or anything else, so everyone does the trails instead/camping when we weren't allowed to be within X distance anyway (1) and then (2) you had that fatality, and then a week later because of that, an increased patrol popped 2 firearms violations (one arrest) out there. Can't say I'm really surprised that they're cracking down out there :(
