Realized I never put up photos of the wheel well liners and vent visors that I got for free:

Also, we drove from home to Foxboro and back yesterday and this was my round trip mileage (plus one trip to work and back before):

Not bad for a 5300 lb truck with 470 ft lbs of torque!

rotors aren’t bad. If you can hobble down to a shop to do a full bleed after then you’re good. You have a compressor though so you can easy diy.

    Welcome to the thunder dome.

just quoting this so I remember to look at it later. I’m doing my brakes soon probably before the winter. Have 35k on them.

Another big thumbs up for the RV industry QC department... I think posted here when I bought a Furrion backup camera because my Keystone was prewired for one. Supposed to be a 10 minute ‘plug and play’ job. Plugged in the camera, no power. Called the dealer, they told me it should work, no fuses or other things to check. Finally dug into it today. You can’t get at the wiring from the inside without pulling panels down (not doing that). So I decided to pull the center marker light and use the ‘new install’ wiring pigtail that came with the kit. When I pulled the light, there were 2 wires that looked an awful lot like the Furrion wires I had in my hand, already tapped in. Give the, a tug, sure enough those are the wires. I can now see the whole wire, it’s not chaffed or damaged, ok let’s just cut the light wires and tap in the new kit. I wired them up the way the old one was wired (wires in the back of the camper are funky colors so you can’t tell + or - just by the wire color), turn on the lights, camera still doesn’t work. Switch the wires, camera works fine... In conclusion, the fine people on Keystone’s assembly line got the wires backwards at the factory. My 10 minute install turned in to about a 2 hour trouble shoot and re-wiring but, the camera works great and i’m very much looking forward to having that for our next trip!

How big is your trailer? I get tempted but I feel like ours is small enough and I don't need it much for it to be worth it

Mine’s a 24’ box so about 28’ tip to tail. In my opinion, length is irrelevant, it could be 10’ long an you still can’t see behind it. I back mine in to my back yard regularly and it’s a 10’ gate so sort of threading a needle. I figure any damage avoidance because I stop before hitting something I don’t see will be worth it. It has a night camera also which is sort of cool.

Damn, my 4Runner was getting about 400 miles driving range (before lift/tires), and you're getting that with half a tank. My tank is only 23 gallons though.

This is 36. It usually reads between 700 and 800 when full.

I love the big tanks. I'm a little smaller and top out at 34 gallons but that extra range when towing is incredible. If the Titan or S&B tanks weren't so damn pricey, I'd love to have one and be able to hold 55 or 60 gallons of fuel but, the $1,000 they cost buys an awful lot of fuel...

I've got those on my truck right now, they are hot garbage. Really bad tires.

I got the 26 gallon tank and mine usually reads 520 or so when I fill up. I drove home from Pittsburg NH last night and the mpg was reading 21.5. When I hand calculate it's usually a half mile per gallon optimistic. That EB motor has impressive performance and economy.

There's a way to correct that calculation. If you find it's always about 1/2 MPG high at around 20 MPG, you'd want to adjust to 97.5% of its typical reading. If I remember correctly, you hold OK while turning the truck on (but not starting the engine). It'll do a gauge cluster test then you can cycle through readouts for pretty much every sensor the truck has and eventually you'll get to "AFE (Average Fuel Economy) Bias". I think it says 1000 if nobody has ever messed with it, so you'd change it to 975. I changed it on my 2.7 so it was dead on, but I keep forgetting to hand calculate this one so I haven't adjusted on this truck.

Damn - must be nice! Maybe Forscan has something for that too?

Anyway - I just use the fuelly method. I do my own excel sheet instead of using the fuelly app, integrated it into maintenance schedule too. I just use the odometer though, not gps tracking my mileage.

It's a smidge of up front work. After that it's just basically writing the mileage on the receipt at the gas station when I fill up.

    Fuel fill up log:

    upload_2021-7-26_8-58-19.jpg
Input date, and fill up details (all off the gas receipt)

Then I have a table that uses that data to tell me miles per month and MPG in that month too. Good show that winter sucks.

    upload_2021-7-26_8-59-3.jpg

Service dashboard - tracks services dependent on age or mileage, and pulls the most recent date and odometer reading - tells me how long until the next thing according to the toyota service interval. So I don't have that stupid window sticker in the dashboard.

    upload_2021-7-26_9-0-9.jpg

And I've added some things too. Alignment is cheap and I wheel it, so do that once a year etc.

....I work in quality assurance in aerospace maintenance, it might have bled over a little into my vehicle maintenance :spy:

Amen. That and my mileage is down from all the towing during the summer. Lifetime average on the truck, since I bought it, is at 14.5. I'm getting 11-12 towing and anywhere between 18-20 unloaded. The dash read out is actually pretty close to the hand calc when I spot check it.

Nice. All the maintenance items I generally write in on the back cover the Owner's manual. I don't track fuel economy but I track oil changes, alignment, new tires, tire rotations, air filter, diffs, etc.

I just change oil when the light comes on. :crapstorm: And replace transmissions when the gears start disappearing.

I don't really belong on a car enthusiasts forum.

    Fixed for you.

And, let's be honest... We're really BS enthusiasts with an interest in cars.

I only track fuel econ because it falls in place and the stuff's already there. And because I'm curious. Date and mileage is already there, add the gallons to fill up might as well. :notsure:

Let's be honest - knowing me, there's a likely chance this will be on my lawn mower soon  nah - I do need to do an oil change there but that's it.

I'm not this detailed for my truck maintenance - I just do date, mileage, and what service I performed. My financial spreadsheet is ridiculous, though. I track every penny, and keep logs of things like heating oil deliveries so I can anticipate future costs by the gallons I've used in the past and the current rate.

See the funny part is - I'm flipside. We have piped natural gas. Water, electricity, and gas I just run with what I get. National grid does a leveling for free so I pay the same over the year +/- 10 bucks or so every quarter. I track my mortgage, and loans in general (if I had car loans, I would be tracking, student loans). But my financials I let Mint do the heavy lifting.
