Thankfully, Strava doesn't delineate between climbing and 'hike a bike'!
If Dawn didn't do it, some of the more aggressive cleaners may cause more damage than good. I'm sort of surprised that gear oil would stain a powder coat. Sounds like the coating really isn't stable with petroleum products. I would normally suggest WD-40 but that could make things worse... Have you tried wash, compound and wax?

Yeah the Canadian flag flies in Old Orchard Beach at the town center, same height as the Maine state flag. It's funny. Closest sandy beach for them so it's a big draw. The roads each way are not NEARLY what you'd expect knowing how many people come down though.

There's Florida and then their Florida Florida.

It's like that meme - No, I'm not from the lion guy Oklahoma

Shenanigans. I also hate how strava doesn't give me an easy table to change rides in. I just hit "go", I'd love to be able to easily change rides from running to riding and add which bike but NOOOOOOOO, I have to go into each damn one

Tried washing only. I'll hit it with compound and see if I can buff it out. Might have to use something harsh and rattle can it.. yes Chinese powder coat, not the best.

Well... got the chain tool today and tried to set the rear tire up tubeless... lost half of the master link. Got one on order and will go to Landry`s Saturday to make sure I can keep my weekend ride. Otherwise, the Mongoose will have to come out of retirement already.

I'm a little further north near the Mass line. Not claiming that's better though.

Passed by a tan Taco with a lift, black wheels and raptor lights near Beef Barn today. Anyone here?

I've been trying to figure out how I actually identify the chain! I've deduced its a KMC 12s, should be common for 1x12 drive trains. The repair links from my other bikes are too fat, it's a pretty narrow chain. Got anything in that flavor? More pissed off that I did it and lost the link, dumb mistake.

Hmmm which part of the link did you lose? Pins or just the plate?

Thank you though, it’s a weird link for me also, I had to buy a specific tool to get the damn thing apart, probably a good indicator that I shouldn’t have messed with it!

I was able to fix my Firestone airbags with Stans No Tubes, if there is a presta or Schrader valve you can introduce an ounce or two and it will find the leaks. Available in most bike shops.

Honestly for a day ride just go to Walmart and get a chain. I have a Walmart backup in my garage for my road bike and mountain bike. If a chain goes then they’ll at least last the day or a couple days until I can get one online or from LBS.

This is an unconscious thing I do now after riding bmx so long - a lot of days at the park chainless after a woopsie. So now I have a backup for all my bikes for tubes tires chains and all cables.

that’s hard to identify you’re still in a large pool of people

    I’ve always loved that name.

Didn't even think about Wally World, might have to check them out! I thought I was doing good because I now have 2 spare tubes AND spare grips. Good point about a spare chain, might be worth the investment because I'm sure this isn't the last stupid thing I'll pull off...

Yeah... After I get the chain fixed, the tap needs to turn off on the bike. My wallet hates me. I should have everything I need at this point, at least I hope!

Hmm might have some more reading to do then. In theory I won't need air bags after the coil install. For whatever reason infiniti needs air pressure just to sit level with no rear load

I have some if you want to try it out. I bought a bunch of 2 oz bottles for the bike, I only needed 4 for the initial install and I think I have 8 left. I don't recall how far away you live, might be worth the trip, otherwise I'd imagine any bike shop will have Stans or another brand.

Just be careful, I’m not sure how much air (and therefore Stans) circulates through the auto leveling systems. If it’s a loop, you don’t want Stans in the pump/compressor. Mine dead-ends at the airbags.
