Thanks guys. Closed loop so it'd probably get Sucked into the compressor. Based on some fb reviews most of not all my woes should be corrected with a 120 dollar set of coil springs. We will see at the next trip

Fortunately, Landry`s had a Shimano chain in stocks, they had to go deep for it. They had a couple SRAM chains but it took them a bit to come up with a Shimano chain but came through! Got home, realized I don`t have a chain breaker... ended up stealing the missing link and throwing it on the old chain and we`re good to go. Bike is back in action, i`ll get an updated picture over the weekend.

As in a breaker or something les?

You should see my bench/parts wall. Not quite like a shop but...
I started working on my Schwinn when I was 12 before I even rode it, installing stuff. To be fair it was a cold Christmas day

    Ahhh, always something isn't it..

No, I don`t have a breaker, which is what I need now to resize the new chain. I needed a special set of pliers to get the old chain apart and also reset the link.

I`m used to motorcycles, just grind the link and use a center punch for the pin. The bike chain is much more delicate.

Yup and if you push a pin all the way out, good luck. Spend the extra dough for a Park Tools breaker, the cheapo ones suck badly..

lol back when I rode bmx mine too. I’ve gotten better because now I have 6 bikes??? So if I were to hoard it would take over my house.

amen. Ish. I have one but the best one I’ve ever had was a couple blocks, a c clamp and a standard roofing nail. It was overkill but it was solid steel and the nail was easily replaceable. I went through about 10 nails so like .04 cents? cost about as much if not less as an off the shelf tool and was a beast. Downside was it basically was just a modified bench vise and took up a ton of space. But that thing was great. I think I handed that off to a friend. I’ll have to ask around see if anyone still has it.

Hell no. To each their own. I drive plenty big trucks for work and have access to them if I need. Wife banned the camper idea years ago so the taco is the perfect choice for me now. I like something as easy to park and get in and out of as I can get.

I have some ("Expedition" version, fits 2nd and 3rd gen) Mobtown bolt-on sliders w/ kickout that I'm considering flipping to partially fund some weld-ons. They're in pretty good shape, used but no damage other than a couple of scratches on the bottom from hi-lifting them.

Would anyone be interested? Am I even allowed to post this here?

Not at all, the Cummins is an awesome power plant. The problem is, it's packaged in a Dodge wrapper...
