Not at all, the Cummins is an awesome power plant. The problem is, it's packaged in a Dodge wrapper...

It came in a Nissan wrapper for a short time too.

At least Ram got the engine to run right, Nissan had no business sporting that Cummins badge.
Engine and tranny alike, all around shitty drive train.

I heard Cummins didn't support any of the engines used by Nissan.

They don`t support the Rams either. They make the blocks for both manufacturers and its on Ram or Nissan to take it from there.

The only Cummins I’m partial to is a 5.9 with the mechanical P7100 pump. Bulletproof. But getting one now with that engine means a rotted out truck. I had a 96 and went through 4 automatics in it. Great torque, fun to drive but what a POS for transmissions and front ends.

Just as I finished ordering a new (tax free) set of Michelin tires for it; the Wife pulled the venza out of the garage only to find a massive crack in the front pass window which what looks to have originated from a rock chip. Luckily, Toyota has laminated side windows so it didn’t shatter into a million pieces like tempered glass of the past. Gotta call insurance and safelite in the morning.

I forgot about the xd. The second gen frontier was the last good Nissan. Hope the turd gen doesn’t let it down

They need the third gen to do well otherwise they are in big trouble. I love the 5.6 gasser. Such a great torque band in the infiniti. I could pass people up grade while towing. I honestly kind of hope this thing lasts forever Iol

I don't think the gas engines are anything special in the Ram 1500s. The power has been about the same for 12 years and the 5.7 feels like a mid-level engine choice but they don't have anything stronger (that's still practical) to answer to the Ford 3.5 EcoBoost or GM 6.2, both of which make substantially more torque.

I do like Frontiers, I considered one instead of my Tacoma and there were some things that I liked better about them.

The Titan 5.6 is an awesome engine, especially with the 7 speed transmission.

Found the perfect Ram for you guys.

Stretched tires on wheels sitting 6” past the fenders, check.

Stack ruining the carrying capability of the bed, check.

My truck is 99.5% mall crawler, but this just checks too many of the ugh, really boxes for me. I think stretched tires are dumb on cars, but on trucks, it’s downright hilarious.

I'll take it! So long as it comes with a flat brimmed hat.
Probably not! I see soo many wide stance trucks near me. I don't think any of them get tickets

@crashngiggles so I figured out why the sliders were missing hardware. The design is completely different now compared to the old one.

Nah, full size pickups are like Harleys...all the modification rules just don't seem to apply. Lower your Civic 1.5", get pulled over for altered equipment. Run a quiet, but non factory exhaust on your Subaru, ticket. Straight pipe your F-250 on a drop bracket lift, enjoy your day.

They must come with a lifetime supply of Monster.
