Only other suggestion on my end is extend your west-of-the-Hudson section a little further to go up to New Paltz for some hiking then cut across the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge, scenery in the NP area is more mountainous and better than Rt 22

The place I’m going to is actually on the harbor, looking out at winter island!

@jaystellato Check on the auto road season - if you're planning to drive up Mt. W, might be closed in November.

Good idea. We were in Beacon a month or so ago, cool area as well. Had to get some beer from Hudson Valley Brewery - she loves sours.

Ah yes, we did Waterbury/Stowe/Burlington last fall. Love that area.

44 through amenia/Millerton is a gorgeous drive as well, 22 and 44 are close enough at this section that you could flip flop between. Sloop brewery in hopewell is awesome with a ton of options

The girlfriend and I went up to Waterbury for our two year just before Covid hit. We did the Ben & Jerry's tour and went to a couple cider mills. My favorite stop was the Cabot store. She found a blueberry wine there that she had years ago and could never find anywhere near us. I was preoccupied by the cheeses and trying not to buy them all.

Yes it is! There are a lot of beautiful roads up here, I haven't looked through all the suggestions, but Rt 108 through Smuggler's Notch will be fantastic this time of year. If you come across from NH I'd recommend the Kancamagus Highway from Conway to Lincoln, take 93 to Saint Johnsbury, pick up Rt 15 in Danville and take that to 108 down through the notch to Stowe where you can pick up Rt 100.

Bonus on this route, you'll be right in my back yard - if you need anything I'm usually around and willing to lend a hand.

I just spied one of the pictures uploaded of the 28 year old Tacoma on the eBay auction still with the original Dunflop tires, so you know this is legit... Hahaha!!

Just picked up my calipers and brake fluid. Checked my original fluid when I got home.... how is it still clean?

And you know they'll put another 40k into it replacing all the dried out shit and bodywork.
Then it'll be stored in a climate controlled garage never to see 100 miles on the clock until it's time to flip it in 10 years.

You think it would sell for that much again in 10-20 years? You have classic cars, there usually has to be something special about them to command high resale values. Just being all original and old usually isn’t enough. I’m shocked someone was soft enough in the head to pay that much for it now!

Mary Ann’s is good but I like Sammy J better. Make a much better omelette! I can tell you which one not to bother with in Salem is A and A. If it’s even still there.

Call me crazy, but it isn't even that nice. I mean, it's a time capsule for sure, but all the stuff that fell on it, the surface rust on the suspension and enough under there to make me realize it was stored in a damp barn or otherwise.

Old Toyota trucks are worth all the money, sure, but I feel like if I was going to spend 45k on an old one I'd want a minty Xtracab SR5. I mean, that truck is basically mine in single cab, and I did love that truck for sure, but 45k nice....eh.

What are used aftermarket headlights and used oem headlights fetching these days? I just got my two sets back from a shop that never built them so I think I'd sell them and buy a new set. Or sell one set and attempt to build it myself. @Blais03 I think I'd like to attempt something similar to your headlight build.
