Got a set of the Pmetric Toyo ATIII put on my wife's T4r to replace the worn Cooper AT34S. Sidewall is pretty bland on the pmetric tires, but the tread is damn nice looking. And deep for a p metric. Obviously silent compared to the worn cooper's, I'm hoping they have the same or better snow traction as the cooper's. The cooper's were so good in the snow. Not snow tire good, but I think as close as you could get for an all season all terrain with a focus on cold weather performance.

i just put a set on my tundra and they really weren’t even much louder than the stock sport tires which are summer and maybe fall rated at best. I was expecting more noise from them and am pleasantly surprised.

fingers crossed for snow season i agree

My tires are on borrowed time at this point and I think im going with skinny 33 wildpeak mt's. I've been very happy with the performance of the at's so I'm hoping that translates over to the mud terrains

I have Falkens on my LC, right now they have 60+ k miles and I could probably get another 15 out of them easy. That being said they're loud now, and last winter fortunately it was pretty mild because their winter traction really took a giant dump. Especially compared to the wife's Cooper AT4s. Granted I have load E, and hers are p metric which have more silica in stock 4runner size but still.

I may end up with the Toyo ATIII as my next tire for the LC. I was going to go MT, but I got a new job and I'll be driving around sites in the Northeast about 20-30% of the time. As good as MTs look and perform, I'm not sure I can justify them vs ATs and the amount of time I get offroad now a days.

Then again, if Rivian gives me a free truck to use I could get MTs and not worry about it.

That's exactly why I bought the Coopers for the wife's Jeep. Since she's a teacher she likely won't be required to drive in the nasty stuff, so a dedicated set of snows never made sense. I always have dedicated snows on my truck, so I figure if there's a true emergency, that will work.

They only lasted like 35k, but I was also lazy and didn't rotate them religiously. I definitely could have extended the life of them by not being a lazy tard. Also my wife drives like she's in Days of Thunder, which probably doesn't help. But the lack of tire rotations likely had more of an impact.

That being said, fuck those things really worked well on packed snow/ ice/ slush with ice underneath. But im a sucker for new tech, and ever since liking Jason's @Bruce988jl star role in the Toyo ad, my MySpace has been blowing up with Toyo ads.

Yeah, im driving to job sites full time so I know the at would be more practical but im set on skinny 33s . That and I don't have 17" rims to get the at's in a skinny 33, so I'm just gonna go for it and if I hate them ill figure out my wheel situation and go from there. That being said my sl 265/75r16 wildpeaks have done everything I've asked for them so I'm not hesitant to give em a shot, otherwise I'd probably go for the yoko geolandars

Fair enough. I'll have to check the install date on when we did the Jeeps...I want to say I'm at 15K and they're wearing like iron, which is wild as my wife blew through tires on her Scion.

She had the tC. Perfect car for a single person just starting out but I never liked it. The seating position never worked for me. She got 150k out of it with almost no issues, so no complaints there. We traded it for the CX-5 after she had it 10 years.

Haha no, it was a joke in which I was poking fun at my elderly status. I don't really use any social media besides occasionally Instagram for trucks and hoes whilst I'm dropping a deuce.

What is this "stock" you speak of....

Must immediately modify that which a manufacturer spent billions developing, because I am smarter than them.

    FTFY :p

Seriously, why does Toyota use crappy Dunlop tires on some of their vehicles? My father's 4Runner tires were dangerous in the snow.
I know Dunlop makes some good tires, but those GrandTrek 20s are awful!

It’s all about the test drive, I’m not sure if it’s still the same, but at one time factory tires where made with softer compounds, so they rode smoother but would wear out faster.

Think about how much actually market share is in the snow and cares more than how it does on dry roads though. We're in a forum we give a crap about this stuff. The average nut doesn't give a rip. They drive to and from work on the roads without snow. No need to spend more to beef up stock tires when they'll still sell like hot cakes with shitty rubber.

While on the tire convo, just got Michelin LTX AT2s last week on the Ford. Awesome tires on this truck just like the last 3! Can't wait for snow.
