So remember that small sidewall damage I was concerned about? This is it with the wheel removed.

[IMG]IMG_0090 by Mike M, on Flickr

Yikes. I have to believe that whomever swapped the tire from the steel to alloy wheel ate his Wheaties that morning. I'm unamused, but nothing I can do. I just got (4) new ones thrown on and the ones I bought have a newer date code, so I cannot complain. I just need to clean the wheels back up and they'll be ready to bolt on come another week or two.

EDIT, putting the (3) good ones up for sale in the NE thread shortly.

To be honest I was really shocked. The shop owner said he could keep picking at it and make it worse, you can actually see above the chunk where there's cracked rubber that was ready to go. I checked my FJ steel wheels (which I still have...somebody buy these please!!!) and there's zero indication of damage.

Day 3 still no power, awesome!, hearing maybe tommorrow afternoon/ early evening. I'll believe that, when I'm throwing a bunch of food with the kitchen lights on! No real right to complain though, everyone here is safe and healthy and nothing except a few branches were damaged. Alot of folks have it far worse.

This or get there with a few people, luggage, etc..

Scrap metal yard and if anything that might be more correct since they weigh our size vehicles often

LMK if you need anything, I"m not too far away

Why do house prices have to be so high? I found the perfect house and it's 100k over my budget. How do I get a 100k off a house in this day and age???

By all means we'd live to move to Lakeville but to get the same as what we have is like 50 to 100k more than we'd get. We are thankful to also be told our home is worth what it is but also feel it's flipping ridiculous

My mom's old house just went up for way more than I thought we should list at. It isn't even great - needs a lot of cosmetic stuff. There are already 11 showings lined up.

Makes me wonder what I would get for mine. I am definitely glad I bought when I did. What I paid for this in 2017 would get me a smaller house on a postage stamp lot in really rough shape now.

I figure its like burning the candle at both ends. Crime spree reduces value, and helps you gather enough for a down payment.

100k over budget listed price, not to mention the offers over asking you’re competing with at 150-200k over budget. The market is gonna crash in time. this market is ridiculous right now and people are paying stupid money for things that just aren’t worth it. We paid $350k and Zillow/Redfin/poaching realtors tell us we can get $650-750 in the current market. Not ever selling unless it’s to family but it really is truly insane. Especially when wages aren’t keeping up with Cost of living and inflation…
