Will be here Wednesday. Maybe Tuesday. From rockauto.

I got the cheapest one. Honestly - if this happened to the factory one, maybe lesson learned and I change habits of cleaning or something. But if it's just a consequence of running a stock truck the way I do, then I would be in there again with a fancy one in the same time period as the 115$ one. And shipping was only 11 bucks. :notsure:.

For 125 bucks plus coolant cost - not worth it to try to fight the dealership. And chances are it was related to but not caused by the alignment yesterday either - so not going to try to involve them. Think this will be a cost I eat.

After bashing on the thing, driving out to LA, numerous mud puddles, rocks, beating the piss out of it, the only problems I have are (a) alignment is out (b) radiator and (c) my brake pads are worn. At 42k. I think for all the shenanigans I've put it though, only being at a 150$ "excess" repair bill ain't too bad.

Radiator rotting out on a 2020 with 42k miles is pretty messed up. I get that it's not a pavement princess, but it doesn't sound like this is damage or impact related, just rotted out? I'd be pretty upset with that...

Meh - If I have mud against something and let that sit and don't clean it for 2 years, on something as thin as the radiator - that I will take. I'll see when I take it off, if it seems fishy I'll ask more, but it sounds like it's sort of earned.

Okay. Will take that into PM with you and Nick.

You might just have dirt caked in there. I've needed to spray out the dirt out of my radiator a few times.

    Oh no she's pissing fluid.

Yeah I think I just need to get in the habit of cleaning my engine bay.

Honestly I'm at 42k - while I have the front end taken apart and easy access might just do my serp belt.

It can be done but ceramic coating can only be applied to a perfectly clean vehicle. Meaning clay barred, polished, then ceramic coated. Could probably just get away with the clay bar as it's new.

We're off to Met-Life Stadium in NJ today to watch my son in the Blackstone-Millville marching band. They won their division in the New England states on Wednesday and today is the national marching band competition.

    Wish them luck!

About to cosmoline my truck today. Dropping all my skid plates and the sliders is going to be a pain. Hoping I can even remove my bashed up plates :D

Any areas I should pay special attention to while spraying? Besides the frame, i was going to go crazy in the wheel wells and spray everything I could because that’s where I always have seen the most rust in the past.

can i spray the trans? Anyone drop the gas tank skids and spray the tank? Exhaust?
