Anyone know a decent Europe car maintenance place that's not a dealer? Our new neighbor was asking me cause hes seen me wrenching on my LC, but I honestly have no clue. In Hopkinton, MA area.

Hot damn - Happy Birthday Jason. I didn't forget IOU cheese, I ate all the last batch so still sitting until Thanksgiving on the next batch now though :spy:

Don't even get me f@#$*ing started on that one.

That said - I DO like them adding another westbound exit before the bridge down into the East Providence waterfront, that will help a lot I think. But what shenanigans. Yeah, no, that hasn't started yet. At least any groundbreaking or affecting any road conditions, they might be doing some marking and measuring etc but I haven't seen anything.

That's the pain in the arse. I am in East Providence. Live and work. So my commute is .... East Providence .... so this morning, to take an hour to get across town....shenanigans. And that was cutting around a big backup to get onto the red bridge, so I could have easily added another 30 minutes. 90 minutes to get 5 miles (the last 2 were wide open). But yeah, OKAY, let's close a lane - we only need one, I guess.

This was only 195 east of Providence, heading west. But yeah, the same shenanigans happened Friday commute home from work, I have to cross 195 and I was in a jam that went about 10 car lengths in 10 minutes, everyone turning left to get onto the highway. I was turning right, fortunately, but good jeebus!

Fortunately I think I have a way around it, just not the "good" route. I will honestly take +5 minutes to go the long way because it's such a cleaner commute, 25% as many traffic lights, etc, but that was what ended up with an hour commute.

If that sticks around - I'm either (a) riding my bike to work, would have taken me 30 minutes or (b) telling my boss to stuff it, I'm not getting in for 8, I'll work from home and be in for 10, leaving at 3 and will work at home rest of the day. I'm not adding 90 minutes to my commute for a job that didn't give me a raise ...

    Anyway,

I'll be using google to get to and from work next few weeks it looks like. I don't know what's going on, but I think it's the red bridge causing it all.

Unfortunately not in Hopkinton but I know one in East Providence .... Well, VW/German. What does your neighbor drive?

Not sure if farts and i are thinking of the same place but there is a place called “German Motors” in Providence. I think they only work on, as their name suggests, German made vehicles. No idea if they’re good, just driven by there a bunch.

Way different place. It's a dude with a tiny 2 bay shop that does a lot of VWs. Bugs, busses, etc.

Way late, but i would 100% buy again. good snow and ice traction which was important to me in the Northeast. i wheeled with a 3rd gen taco that was on wildpeak MTs. he had a terrible time on snow and slick hill climbs. I would not purchase the wildpeak MTs due to the terrible winter performance i saw (he was aired down as well).

I just spent a grand to replace tires I spent $850 on a year ago. Shameless groveling to get something back isn’t below me right now!

One of the guys on the trail yesterday had those and did just fine. Not snow or ice but wet rock and a bit of mud.
    They look beefy.
