How can you tell if it's wandering or just (a) everyone else can't maintain lanes or (b) the road is so shite that it's just kicking you around :D I hate 128 north of Peabody. Such shenanigans. I mean it's terrible going through waltham from 3 to 95 as well, just a different type of shite

If you're fully stock otherwise, no big deal. If you have ANYTHING even same size but not stock tires, I would be going elsewhere. Town fair tire down the road did mine good. They were funny. "Oh yeah it was out a little bit, that's probably what was causing the wear" "Oh was it out on the left wheel that was worn unevenly?" "Welllllll....everything was out and in all different directions" "Yeah that makes sense".

My record for my truck is around 95 way out west going downhill when there was an 80 speed limit anyway. Bricks don't like to go fast. I'm full stock too. It had more to give but yeesh. My mazda liked to boogie but the truck a bit less so.

I have done 100 with the setup I have (no tent on) downhill and in 4th... and the crazy part was I was in the right lane still getting passed.

This morning on Rt 3 south I was being passed at 95mph in the middle lane.... then I got stuck behind an Amazon truck on the backroads doing 20-25mph on the straights but decides to blow through a flashing school zone at 50...

Does anyone know if there is any other option for a 2nd gen tail gate lock than a Pop n Lock? The handle on my Pop n Lock broke and then most of it disintegrated when removing the bolts because the plastic is so brittle.

I ran into someone last night with a Tacoma Nation shirt in World of Disney in Disney Springs. Talked to him about his truck and what he planned on upgrading. Nice talking to Tacoma members in person by random chance.

Mmmm disney, what I would do to go back. Couple more years and we'll go again.

Also.... just accepted a job offer, we'll see if my company has a counter offer but probably not. Here's to hoping the grass is greener on the other side

Good for you, same field/job type?

Seems to be lots of shifting around starting to happen.
I'm actually in process of deciding my next move myself....

Yep, same field, went to work for a direct competitor. I wasn't looking for a new job, recruiter just happened to get me on the perfect day where things weren't going well so I actually heard him out (he was a head hunter, so I didn't know which companies he was recruiting for initially). Opportunity turned out to be something I couldn't say no to, or at least an opportunity I thought I'd be stupid to turn down. Current company at the time sort of countered but they couldn't come near what I was offered so that was that. I'm sure the new company, in time, will have things that irritate me as well, but so far it seems like a good move.

I was noticing the same thing, a lot of movement lately. I think COVID put a lot of things into perspective for a lot of people. Company's responses to COVID also pushed some people to move, realizing their values weren't aligned with their employers. Employee retention I think has become a real concern for a lot of companies this past year - year and a half.

I get emails monthly it seems, "so and so is leaving the company...." there is a high turnover rate here and I can't imagine my position is truly going to be long term

I’ve also been look to make the leap myself as well. 15 years with the state and finally making decent money at this point but doc says my job/shift is slowly killing me. I’ve applied to quite a few places willing to take a 20-25k pay cut but they’re all saying thanks but no thanks. All These employers are saying people don’t wanna work when we do but they don’t want to hire…

Yeah, I left the Forest Service in September to be closer to family. Pandemic changed things… New job’s the same pay but it’s the same pay in MA vs NM so not quite the same haha

Yup - Why on earth does nobody want to work at all for us being paid 1$/hour and working 23 hour days?! What is WRONG with people! Then when they do find someone that fits and is willing, they're like "Oh, no, we can't actually afford to bring someone on because Steve took over when Bob, John, and Joe left and he's doing everything fine". There is a level of Bob, John, and Joe were able to be automated out in a week, but there's also a level of - oh, yeah, Steve's on his way out the door because you burnt him out and aren't going to hire replacements because "Steve's got it!"

    ............Sincerely, STEVE!

TBD - looking now to see what's out there.
