Man... i`d need to commit to owning a truck that long first... :anonymous:
No issue with keeping a relay cycled on for extended periods of time, just use good relays that are sized correctly.

If it were me, i`d use the current cigarette lighter as the `trigger` to a relay, then direct fused power from the battery to power the relay and the additional power port. If you`re only looking to add a USB power port, you might even get away with just tapping the existing cigarette lighter circuit. Its already fuse protected, you just need to make sure you`re not overloading the circuit.

if you decide to go the flush mount route, I got a bunch of those I had ordered fairly inexpensively that I’d just give ya. Think they’re KC leds

    Perfect, good to know.
That is actually exactly what I am going to do. Instead of having the cigarette lighter go to the usb-A and usb-C ports, I will have it trigger the relay to it, as well as two dedicated cables to the mounts on the DMM (so essentially 4 usb ports). The relay I have is supposedly rated to 30A, so I'm pretty sure that's good enough. I'll probably run the power/ground as whatever gauge wire I have laying around (should be somewhere between 15-12AWG).

Cool! TBD. The cyclones? That's the ones I would have used if I did a meso or meso style third light and do those as the chase lights. Those are sort of an in between I would want to use those on the roads in fog and snow and then would want something with more kick for off road or dust kicking etc.

Depending how many you want, you could just get a 2-1 adapter for the current power ports. No wiring needed.

Finally started my wife's infiniti coil spring swap. One bolt lose, one more to go. It got super cold so finish tomorrow. Plus I need to buy a 21 mm wrench instead of using an adjustable one.

So I’m sure it’s been asked and discussed many times before. I’ve tried using the search function, but haven’t found anything useful. My dilemma is that I am currently running 265/75/16 on an scs ray 10 16x8 -12. I recently acquired 285/75/16 on SCS F5 16x8 -25. I have the eibach pro stage 2 lift at about 2.5” right now. I have no rubbing with my current set up - couldn’t get out of the driveway with the new set up. I’m wondering if I’ll need to do a body mount chop, or if there is something else I can get away with. Worst case scenario I could put the 265’s in the F5, but am concerned for clearance with the -25. Any insight - or a link of it’s been discussed before? Thanks - hope I’m not wasting anyones time. 42B94B4F-4FB2-452E-B656-F04381EAB7DC.jpg0A5ACDE3-7E52-4005-AA59-74DF2260C2EC.jpg

i think I may have a 21mm impact socket if you wanna borrow it; I believe that’s that’s what I used for my MIL outboard prop replacement.

I'm just afraid of over drawing the small wires with 4 devices being charged at once.
Look into the CMC, pinch welds, and fender liners.

I don't know for certain but I think even with 265s you'll have some rub on -25s. Cmc/pinch weld and some cutting/heat molding are in your future if you wanna keep running those rims

Its a fused system, overdraw should blow the fuse before damaging the wires, i wouldn`t worry about that with the OEM setup. Just my opinion though, i do routinely run 3-4 devices in my truck using splitters, no issues so far.
