That color looks awesome. We have the same truck in red and 2017. I recommend coating the frame with some rust protection immediately and often. I didn’t and our frame looks bad. It’s easily twice as rusty as the frame on my 2014 Tacoma. No frame replacement programs on the 4Runners either.

You can only camp if you have an RV. Out of state is fine. Race Point is completely closed right now due to plovers nesting. It will stay closed most of the summer until the birds can fly. The bird situation is getting out of control. Their population is rebounding so there are nests everywhere which means constant closures. I’ve gotten a yearly pass there for 15+ years but didn’t get one this year because of the closures. Maybe I’ll get one if it opens back up late summer. It sucks. That was a big part of our lives in the summer and what my kids loved to do.
Nauset is another ORV beach option but it is crazy expensive for non resident. Sandy Neck is another but that gets really crowded and is mostly closed now due to nests too. It’s becoming just a spring and fall option now.

Not too long ago just about everything in red on this map would have been open. You can’t even have dogs on the beach anymore or kites because they might scare the birds. The bird nazis have won.

Had it done with PB Blaster Surface shield about a month after I got it this spring. I can tell you everything was still coated while working under it. I wool waxed the sliders where they contacted the frame, and then the rest of the underneath after they were on.

    Am I a dirtbag here?

Bought my final diecast on eBay. It was listed as near mint only missing a box and the passenger mirror. No problem, I ordered one from Germany for $25. The model showed up today. The seller basically threw it in a box with a few air puffs. It showed up with the other mirror cracked off, spoiler torn off and a bunch of scratches from flopping around. No worries, reached out to the seller and told him it got wrecked and sent all the photos of it and said I wanted a refund. I got brushed off with and told to bring it up with USPS. I again asked for a full or partial refund and was told that I wouldn't be receiving one. So I engaged ebay and requested a return. I got a big sob story about how his child has cancer and that they don't have money to eat and I'm this big bad bully and he'll get kicked off eBay and sent to jail. Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't, but I did see he ordered like 6 items off eBay within the past month which definitely . I just replied I'm sorry about his predicament, he can send me a label to send the car back, refund me and resell and file a claim with USPS. This will give me a refund for the value of the car that I paid and then he could still resell it actually making more money. He can give me a partial refund based upon my valuation of the car in the current state, I can keep the car and repair it and he can file a claim with USPS or we can escalate further to eBay and see what happens.

If the story is real, do I feel a bit bad demanding the return, yes. However in today's world I just find it somewhat unbelievable.

Had he shipped it right there'd have been none of these problems. Sorry if his story is true but that doesn't exonerate him from fault. Stick to your guns here man.

Not at all. I hate when people charge decent money to ship something then ship it the cheapest way they can.

Not the asshole, even if the story is true its on him to package and ship it correctly. If I sell a guitar and chuck it in a box with no padding or support and the neck snaps in transit then guess what, it's my fault! Crazy

That’s my thought. Each reply was “USPS damaged it, not me” and “three other people got theirs undamaged”. That’s irrelevant, mine was.

The scratches might have been there, but the mirror and wing were definitely intact in the ad. Some people’s version of mint and mine differ.

The wild thing is they shipped Priority. Granted they were lax on actually shipping out but it was priority. A few more puffs and a piece of tape and this never happens.

Clearly it’s USPS’s fault. Someone once received the guitar undamaged so it’s on you!

If the story is true, I absolutely feel bad, but it wasn’t “can we please work this out” it was “eff you”.

What chapped me was the 5-6 item feedbacks on his profile from a place that 3D prints RC car parts within the last month. I mean unless he was buying parts to prep something for sale..

I paid $115 shipped, $94 for the car, the rest shipping. My offer back was refund me $34 as I might have paid $60 for it in the current state as it still displays okay-ish.

Only the shipper can file a claim with USPS. Same with FedEx and UPS. Just as only the shipper can request a trace if a package gets lost.

    The seller is BSing you.

Yeah that and another post hit most of it on the head. You need an on board toilet to camp. Week permits are 50$ for out of staters.

Last year our plans to go got shuttered by a plane that overshot the runway.

This is the way to do it. Ask the seller first. If they do ANYTHING other than full or partial, straight to the supreme overlord.

Seller is responsible for shipping. If it was damaged in shipping they need to improve their dunnage. I was employed in aerospace and I'd say a non insignificance amount of my time was preventive actions due to shipping damages our customers received. Was still on us.

The only one we got a slide on was when a delivery truck drove into a swamp or something.

Exactly! I just looked it up and the original receipt must be present. If they don't have that...

This was the statement that was like...yep, time for eBay's intervention.

"Please do not be a bully and demand actions to be taken. The eBay auction states clearly no returns. There will be no refund. Of any denomination. "

The rest of the sob story was sad, no doubt, but still. I've given him PLENTY of options, at least one of which would likely net him additional money. He claims he has no money, yet he purchased items on eBay this month. If I had no money and I was selling stuff to survive, I absolutely wouldn't be buying things on eBay. Even if it was something as simple as parts to fix things to sell, if I didn't have cash, I'd sell the things broken. I just hate that I have enough of a conscience this is actually bothering me. I mean I guess it means I'm human, but still I'm getting a resolution favorable to me one way or another.
