just take the bottom cover off the carb and see if the float moves. should only be 4 screws . im guessing its a single carb .
if its gummy in there . you should clean the carb . i use seafoam when rebuilding/cleaning any of my carbs . you can get it pretty much anywhere.

On mine you have to take off the intake manifold to get the carb off. Should really only be a few bolts though. May have to remove a shroud.

I didn't think it was supposed to get bad until around 5 tomorrow night, you'd probably be fine since you work off hours. But I suppose it's not up to you.

I've never really worked on small engine, so have no clue what to do. This is why I paid them to fix it and specifically the problem I'm still having

That really sucks. Shouldn't be more than a few bolts though. Can you trace the fuel line from the gas tank to the carb? It's likely on the opposite side of the block than the gas tank.

Ya but I get out of work at 1030pm so driving home in a white out isn't to much fun . They will cancel it in the morning . I just read The mbta is closing at 330 pm so when they close we close .
    LONG WEEKEND !!!

I hear ya . I'm to cheap to pay people . To bad I'm at work I'd tell you to bring it over .
Carbs don't like to sit for long periods of time . If you ran it last winter most likely it's gummed up .

My brothers just did this AFTER a "tune-up"...he disconnected the fuel line from the tank and found it folded over...put everything back together and it ran....

Could you be that lucky too...???

Nah, the line is straight. I ran it once last winter and while I did leave the fuel in the tank, I specifically used the shutoff and ran it dry so I wouldn't leave any in the carb

I agree with John, sounds like your float is stuck.

It shouldnt be too hard to pull it apart. Check online to see if you can find a service manual.

Or just take pictures with your phone before and during disassembly so you can tell how to put it back together

Just remove the bowl from the bottom of the carb and see if the float moves freely. Clean it up with some carb cleaner or brake cleaner, maybe wire brush carefully.

I'll look at it in a bit, but if I can't figure it out I'm probably better off having them look at it..especially since they "fixed " this same fukn thing last year. GRRRRR

Might just be easier to buy a new one..for the $600 or so I can get a smaller one that will do my driveway good enough
