I hope you have luck with that.
From what I've been reading it sucks to be car shopping right now.

    @Brownmatthall

Since she’s not at fault, I’d recommend going through your own insurance company and letting them subrogate against the at-fault party. I initially tried using the at-fault party when my first Tacoma was totaled and they were a nightmare to work with. In the end they wanted to total my truck but give it back to me less salvage value and force me to handle the salvage. I’d also have lost out on sales tax. When the Mazda was totaled I just let my company handle it as I had a new car replacement rider on it. However, YMMV.

I also recommend your wife get a once over by a doctor in case she did tweak something that shows up tomorrow. I’m not saying that because I am ambulance chasing sue all the people type, I just remember both times getting drilled I felt worse Day 1 (nothing more than general soreness) but since I took the ride both times I had a paper trail if anything showed up.

It’s a CYA deal. I hope it all works out in your favor.

    Sorry bud. Glad she's good.
Agree 100% with @MikeyMcFly on the Doc thing.

And good luck with insurance. I've been dealing with them since June.

The only reason I mention it is to have things documented…a CYA thing.

Irregardless of temperature. Use is use. I had a light switch that shit the bed from only one thing. Use. In hind sight I figured the less use the longer it would of lasted. Same goes with a starter motor

For sure. I'm just figuring, I don't see starters blowing left and right on ANY vehicle, let alone ones with ASS or not (that still makes me giggle :D )

I've yet to own a vehicle with it. But, I dunno, I guess I'd have to live with it to have a solid opinion other than my current opinion which is just leave it running, if I'm idling for 10+ minutes, maybe I'd consider something like it. Like when I was in a traffic stoppage in OK after a tanker ran into a bridge pillar, during THAT I killed the engine.

Well I have and it did it’s thing for a couple trips and then it became annoying. The ole lady has it in her sante fe. And she hits the delete button soon as she gets in it. And she is more tolerant than me. Hell she lives with me. If that ain’t proof?!

Always a nice feeling to hear the waitress hacking up a lung as she hands over my take out order.

Stealerships are getting ridiculous, i've been trying tk get an alignment for weeks. They want to schedule a month out and even then, make me leave the truck for the day. Plan your shit, i can't loose my truck for a day for something that shouldn't take more than an hour. I'm fine with the month wait time, is what it is.

Finally here. I cancelled Musician’s Friend on Wednesday after 2.5 months of missed promised dates.

I ordered from Sweetwater on Wednesday night and it came this morning. 5321B49D-E00E-497A-B1FF-01C69FC58CB9.jpg

Free dealer service is a farce. Assuming, which you can't, everything is done properly, it still costs me more in lost time than my trusted local mechanic. He left a dealership to make an honest living and provide for his family. I digress. I use the fact that their free service has zero value. However,I use this as leverage. I was promised a rental for the fuel pump recall and when I arrived, I was told none was available. I expressed my disappointment that I needed to run errands on my day off. The service advisor acknowledged that was not any different than most working people on their day off, including herself. Long story short, she had the shuttle guy drive me around for 2 1/2 hours. Agway, Grocery store, HarborFreight, etc. Got back right as the truck was finished. Great timing, great customer service. However it did take over a month to get the appointment.

It's nice that someone else deals with disposing oil. But now I have a bed for my drain pan, so it's a lot less of a concern.

    My dealership service:
    - tried to total the truck after going off roading
    - nascar whipped the lugs and cross threaded 3 studs. Conveniently it was 3 different wheels 1 each.........
    - told my wife the issue with a leak was the sunroof and a 5k replacement. It was the windshield, which we had already told them. The next rainstorm it happened again, from the windshield. We had someone else do it instead.

I had another dealer service take a while - I showed up for a 10 o'clock bay time and they didn't even bring it in until noon, but otherwise that dealership did great. That was Boch South (Attleboro ish area). They did good. Won't name my dealer since they're an utter disaster. Sales was great. I'd buy another car from my guy Tom in a heartbeat.
