Yes, you are correct. I actually do not like the 959 and think it is overdone and gaudy. The 911 is my dream car and if I won the lottery I would find an early 70's 911 Targa to buy. But I probably should play the lottery first before I figure out what I am going to buy when I win the lottery.

Totally. Someone would get a huge score if that was my garage ugh, about 13 bikes not to mention a couple of framesets and all the spare parts.

Never sold on Ebay but I "think" you can list with a really high reserve if you want just to test waters without commitment. Auctions are always the truest test in my book.

Always enjoy seeing your car, my late brother's 6 was similar...your car brings back some great memories of he and I.
I was in an MGB at the time. Some Preludes, a Miata, a Boxster S and currently a 991.1 generation 911 for me since

 

Nice rides! I would not mind driving or owning any of those. The Triumph needs some love but I need a place to work on it. The plan when purchasing the new house was to have that space but that did not work out so far so maybe in the next 3-5 years I can make that a reality. In the mean time the other fun ride is a 2006 MINI Cooper JCW. It's hard not to drive the car fast.

 

I can smell your car...they say it's from the type of wire Insulation BL used and the carpet padding...but seeing any Triumph or MG pic and I immediately remember what it was like to swing the door open with the top up

 

I dunno, I think part of it too with the stamps at least was people selling stuff hoping "someone will fall for this". A random listing for a grand didn't sell, then a graded certified one sold for like 10 bucks.

 

I think it is probably just the smell from a vehicle that is not driven as much as it should be!
