That's the first thing that grabbed my attention and I'm not a carpenter. That might work for lifting a bicycle, any more weight and I say that's coming apart.

Yeah, I'd have done it differently as well. I'd have used I beam... but, he had it on hand... so...

I've done sketchier stuff lifting my flatbed, etc...lol

On that note... I need to have @AllTacosFloat help me with a small project, to get around some crap, and at least have a small shop I can do stuff in..

800 was no sweat. I need to change up how I attach the chainfall and I’d trust it to over 1k.

 

Table top CNC mill, laser, or 3D printer?

 

Cnc mill, has a 40k rpm spindle. Not that useful for truck parts but my work was gunna scrap it so free mill.

 

I mean, if we buy you sheets, can you cut us stuff? Then we just gotta find someone that can bend em all up. Then the welding.

 

Not sure what your talkin about but yeah I’ll cut stuff for people, I can also bend whatever and weld….

Travel on this machine is 12x7” but I am planning on using a Bridgeport at my work to cut other stuff for myself

 

Damn 40k spindle?? 30 taper? My normal machine at work is an okuma genos m560 40 taper with a 15k spindle

 

No it’s kinda wierd setup, it’s an er collet directly into the spindle. No tool holders.
The machine shop never used it cause it didn’t have a tool changer so now it’s mine

I think it’s 20, tbh I didn’t look that hard. It came with the collets.

 

Nice 20 you can do quite a bit with. 1/16" to 1/2" if I remember right

 

Just random small parts. Like a new CB antenna mount that bolts to the diamondback cover instead of using those mounts above the tail lights.

Yeah for sure, this mill won’t be running for a little while but I’d design and build stuff for whoever.
