I fill the TC (and trans) with a piece of hose and a funnel run down thru the engine bay and backwards. EZ.

Sorry, my mind is fuzzy, I just got home after working a 14hr shift.

I had a bunch of fluids done @ Copeland Toyota in 2020. They quoted 2.5 hours labor for front / rear / T-Case. Copeland's pretty bad at charging over MSRP for parts but they did 6 quarts of Toyota LX GL5 at $82.93 / per. It ended up being $820 all said and done. I then did the trans locally using Redline MT-90. I ended up arguing with Copeland since they didn't put in the correct LF fluid and they replaced that free of charge. I'm certain I overpaid but it was December and I didn't feel like working in the cold.

I'm due again as I'm up to just over 60,000 miles and will likely DIY using the Toyota fluids again (or maybe Ravenol). I haven't decided on the transmission fluid I want.

 

The labor times people are talking about are nuts! I did both diffs and the TC on a friend's Taco in like an hour without a lift!

 

If you wanted to do them this weekend, we could use a lift at my work.

 

I don't disagree. I'm certain I could bang it out faster, but I was being lazy (and I paid for it, no doubt).

 

I met a guy with a new TRD Pro today at my work. He was picking up a Diamondback bed cover for his truck. He's on TW, let's see if he finds his way here.
