Are you going to try to see the eclipse in northern New England? If the weather is nice I will probably try to head up near Burlington VT.

We were thinking Jackman/the south side of Seboomok (sp?) in Maine. I just don't know how muddy it's going to be. My concern would be gates/roads closed for mud season/impassible/snowed in still too. Both ME and VT, but I guess NH too. I have a campsite on the northeast side of Moosehead that would be PERFECT, but I don't know if we can get there in April - or that it's open. Then the fun part - the eclipse is at like 3:30 or something, so 6.5 hours home from there

That’s a long haul. Especially if you end up with cloudy skies.

Here's a better pictures. Eustis would be good. The camping spot I know of is near Beaver Cove. If I was prepared for it I would send it up Katahdin, but F that, and I'm not buying all that supplies and coordinating with other people just for a single short hike. Niagara would be cool, but probably going to be slammed with everyone going there.

Burlington is 4.5 hours from me, Greenville is 5.5, the camp spot is about half hour from Greenville.

My issue with VT is just mud season, I know a lot of trails will be gated shut. The spot in Maine is off a logging road, so there's a strong chance it will be cleared and accessible. Gonna be f'in COLD though. I think with the timing, we'll want to be there at least one night. I would like to get home Monday night.

Monday April 8, around 3-3:30PM in Maine.

Edit: we were in Jackman on a rafting trip and went there. They had these wooden moose thingies that dropped chocolates covered raisins when you lifted up the tail

Hmm might know a couple decent spots to watch it from. I'm 21 miles from the Canadian border but could go up about 15 miles up 27 to the windmills. I also have a buddy that owns a couple businesses in Jackman

My wife and I have already reserved some Air BNB somewhere up in that area. She handles those logistics. The great unknown is the weather. Cloudy skies and you will be able to cut the disappointment with a knife. :crapstorm:

Edit: We were fortunate to see a partial in Maine a couple years ago in Acadia National Park, on top of Acadia Mountain. We were not alone. We shared the summit with about 15-20 people. I bet Cadillac Mountain was swarmed! I am sure there will be a bunch of people at the top of Katahdin.

Little brothers 2020 cracked a cylinder. Thankfully happened just before his warranty expired- he's right under 60k.

    3g problems.

Wow. That’s lucky it happened just before going over the warranty mileage.

Ferd is putting their 2.7 V6 TT into the ranger. Not even at high trims, one up from base has it as an option. The raptor is even bigger. That's baaaaaananas.

I'd take an I4 turbo, at least there's only one on those. Except I'd rather NA V6, especially with the dust of the Maine woods :) (ferd also dropped that off the F150, no more NA V6.... Bananas, but for a different reason).

I haven't seen a slew of cracked cylinder issues. The only thing that is a real issue is starving the oil pump on a ridiculous incline. Manufacturing defects happen time to time. At least they stood by it. But that also reminds me I'm outside of that now o_O ruh roh.

Never realized it, but somewhat common in the third gen. Quick google or tw search will bring up a handful of similar stories.

I feel like a dik because all I do is talk up tacos and one day they came home with that one. Black trd pro manual.

He just uses it to go to and from school on holidays. Doesn't beat on it, and maintains it to the t.
