Nearly every DIY with my truck ended with my wife saying "You should have just paid someone to do that..." which only strengthens my resolve to DIY

 

If that's all it is, it probably makes sense for me to wait until mid-winter to order it.

 

maybe consider waiting to time it for spring and have someone undercoat it pretty early on. I got mine in september 2021 and got it undercoated within the first month

24s are already out - the build and price and inventory search are live anyway. Limiteds get a digital dash cluster but otherwise they appear to be exactly the same as the 23.

 

Have you looked into the power train or are we not talking about tacoma?

Yeah Brian is ordering a Tacoma, last of the turd gens. Waiting for spring would be into the 24s and lord knows what. Also the MT only comes on double cabs for 24.

So this is the first year I've batched this recipe to give out. I tested it a bunch last year. It's a pumpkin bread that is basically pumpkin pie in the center - sort of like a self-crusting pie? Lots of cardamom and ginger, with molasses on top.

 

Would you mind sharing the recipe in a PM?

 

Yeah, I'm leaning towards a Tundra if I like one after looking/driving in person. And, if I can get all the options I want. I'd be making sacrifices on some features that my current truck has, so I want everything else I can possibly get in a double cab to eliminate any other possible regrets. But there are some nice things I can get on a Tundra that I don't have now - like a moonroof and the bigger display/better cameras.

I'm also still torn on keeping or ditching my Ford. I truly love the truck - it's optioned perfectly and F-series trucks truly are so well thought out compared to the competition. If it was as reliable as my last F-150 or friends' F-150s, I'd keep it without a second thought and try to find a commuter to slow down the miles on it - and I might still. The unpredictability is what's tough - most of the common issues on these trucks have not been an issue on mine. Almost everything that's gone wrong is a weird uncommon thing that screams QC problems - and it was a late March 2020 build, so that might explain some things.
