4 hour drive one way from the north shore to Saratoga, that's a big ask of anyone lol. 15 foot uhaul was 200 bucks for the weekend anyway so that was definitely the move

 

Can I go a step further? I hate (nearly) everything to do with vehicles. Buying, selling, buying parts, selling parts, getting service done, etc. This is obviously a blanket statement and not always true but there are times I question if knitting would be a better hobby.

I had an O'Reilly's guy demand to know why I didn't want an Delco oil filter for the Vette. "The Delco is cheaper and better." Thanks, I want the Wix. "But the Delco is better". Thanks, but I'll take the Wix. "Why do you want the Wix". Because I hate my life, dude.

It's real. It's likely something the dealer wants to keep for their showroom / owner, but it's got an eff you price if you really wanted it.

 

I can’t even imagine moving now. I’d hire movers but I wouldn’t trust them with all my tools. And those are the heavy and difficult things.

We wanted to do movers but things happened way too quickly to budget for that, we only really have a couple heavy pieces but the small fragile stuff is what killed us this time

 

Thankfully my Matco rep moved my toolbox for me for a small fee

 

Yes yes and yes. Went to get an oil change this week and they refused to do it, citing a good sized oil leak. FML. Shop can't get it in for another 10 days, though I suppose that's the sign of a good shop.

Gotta love armchair mechanics like that O'Reilly's bellend..grrrr

We moved in about half a day 19 years ago, but that's from a small apartment to a house. We were able to bring boxes over all week prior to Saturday plus I had time to get stuff I left at my parents' house. Moving now would totally suck an egg though.

When we moved into our house one of my friends showed up with furniture in the back of his truck that wasn't ours...

Apparently he'd driven around our new neighborhood to check it out and somebody was giving away a sectional and he picked it up for his basement.
