Our paths will cross at some point I’m sure. This is too cool a group of people for me not to make it to some events.

I've got some delamination going on. Just found out my frame recall is expiring on May 31st 2019. I need to bring it in.

I'm worried they will just spray it with the undercoat.

Yup, they don't even clean the frame before spraying it. Seal in any moisture, and it just flakes off with the rust they sprayed over.

Not exactly, you got till May 31 for the inspection and if it passes you get the CRC.

IF you do that, your 2nd piece is you get a re-inspection up until 12 years from date the truck was first registered. If it fails then, they will reframe you.

I called Toyota a few weeks ago to confirm all this as I also have a 2010.

I'm out in Iowa.....way far away!

But I am curious how long the coat of Fluid Film lasts. And is it just the stuff you buy in a gallon can or the aresol can?

It will last a year depending on how and where you drive. I would suggest that you spray 2x per year. I buy it by the gallon and apply with commercial spray gun. You can do aerosol cans but it will cost more in the long run and coverage is not as thick/fast
