You'd be surprised. Centrifugal compressors, in this instance, provide not significant I ncrease in airflow, thus fueling, hnder no/light loads, and lower rpm.

Good lesson in fluid dynamics, VE, etc.

Now, I'D run out of fuel, because I'd never lift! Lol

    I'm heavily considering a 2UZ or 1GR swap for mine, but a 1JZ, 1.5JZ, or 2JZ would be sweet

You know I'm gonna say 2uz, but why not 3.4 over the 4.0?

Annnnd we have our chase lights mocked up. Didn't get to wire before the rain picked back up so that's a future endeavor. Also not really in love with the setup the way I thought id be, it "works" with the tonneau but not well (there's a pretty sizeable gap around the mounts I'll have to seal if I want to to stay pretty dry in there. I also have to pop the bar off to open it all the way, which if I start using these like actual bedbars will be problematic. ), definitely gonna run this for the north woods trip but beyond that probably not.

I might plan on getting rid of my mounts that go above the tail lights if you want to buy those off me.
I originally wanted my CB there, but it wobbles too much, so I want to get a custom one made that bolts to the DB cleat spots.

4.0 would be a lot more direct swap and has a more significant power increase than a 2TR versus a 5VZ. Which would only gain about 30lb/ft of torque and basically the same HP

How easy is the 1gr swap? I know it's pretty well documented on the 5vz but you don't see much on the 1gr (or maybe you do and I'm just not paying attention lol)

3.4 swaps are more for 22RE trucks or possibly a 3RZ truck.

The 1GR is the 4.0 2nd gen tacoma motor. Not many 1GR swaps are common since most people swap 1GR out for something else, but since it's the same platform I can't imagine it being super hard to swap. The 2UZ is relatively straight forward swap with some harnesses, and adapters. You can check out the video from Ian from Big Tire Garage on YouTube (he use to host Xtreme4x4). I know my cylinder #1 walls will be worn from the head gasket being bad for so long and that causing my oil consumption. So I'm going to slap a gasket kit in the truck and then work on getting parts for a swap

Would be sweet :D plus the 2UZ and 1GR both use the A750F trans so converting to auto would be pretty straight forward too
