I saw that movie when it was a new release

 

Had a WTF a moment today, pulled a u turn and didn’t have enough space to complete the turn, so I had to stop and back up a little then go. When I did this, it felt like something shifted/slid forward. I screwed around and seemed to be able to make it do this when going forward then backwards and also backwards then forward. Hopefully I’ll have time to look at it tomorrow evening, any suggestions on what to look at specifically? It does make a thud type noise, doesn’t sound like metal on metal. The first thing I am thinking is to check the LCA bolts, but this seems different.

 

Brake pads clicking? Slip joint on the drive shaft?

 

I don’t think it’s the brake pads, I just dropped 700 bucks on replacing them.

not sure on the slip joint. It feels almost like after the tires come to a stop, the body slides due to the momentum, but doesn’t come back to center.

 

Sounds like the front or back? Have someone stand next to the truck and see if you can get the truck to make the noise.

 

Drivers side, I’ll try this in the next day or two.
