The three displays are nice when you are able to move the space sim game controls to the outside displays and have the center display clean. Skyrim works perfectly on triple displays. Shooters are hit and miss as there is a lot of "stretching" in some games. You have to make sure you set up the displays properly within Windows before attempting to run a game on them.

I really like them when I'm not playing a game. I can have a browser open along with email and maybe a .pdf or Word file, all full screen on their own display. :D They measure 6 feet across.

Nice that's awesome! I actually considered the model up from my monitor which would have been the Samsung Odyssey G9 49", that one you can divide the screen into 2 or 3 different displays. When I get a bigger desk I want to get another monitor so I can have my game on one and whatever else on the other. Or Mastercam on one and a CAD software on the other

I was looking for a new desk to replace the IKEA one I had (the wood was starting to warp). I needed a smaller desk with still having room for my displays.
I found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09T6VMHRS?ie=UTF8
It's made in China but real good quality. It doesn't shake like the IKEA desk did.

That one looks nice. I have an Ikea 54" desk with a drawer and shelves and cable tray. I want to do an Ikea work top 72" and 2 sets of Alex drawers

Another who has wasted way more time than I even remotely want to think about with RuneScape, I’ve played off and on since like the late 90s early 2000. I played what they called classic when it was original. Never spent much time on the 3d version, just keep playing the old ones when I go back.

    I don't have a desktop.

I maintain a few laptops for communication with machines, blah blah... but, that is it.

In the past few years people have been getting away from desktops and using laptops, tablets and phones. I can't give up my desktop with all that screen real estate.

Just a part of how much power they have now in them.

You can get external monitors :) i had 3 at my old job, one portrait. Down to two with the standing desk at my new job ("new" almost 2 years), still one in portrait.

Add the machine itself i could have 3.

I mean, last PC game I had/played, was Unreal Tournament 2004....

That was fun, was pretty cathartic at a time, when I needed it...

But, I can't fathom gaming on a laptop, as back then, seemed like GAMERS had water cooled machines, and used more power than my house(I KNOW that isn't true)....

You'd be surprised what to can get away with, my computer is a '17 acer with some pretty mediocre specs and it let me play everything I wanted at ~medium settings pretty smoothly. But I also relate with not wanting to drop 4 digits on a machine, I'm cheap lmao

I'm sure the newer laptops are able to play the older games I have. The problem is compatibility. Some of the games require Windows 95/98!

My first multiplayer game was the original Unreal Tournament. I played that game almost every day. Now when I play online I just run into cheaters and it takes the fun out so I left online gaming.

Yeah I feel that. I got lucky and was able to have my PC pay for itself with ETH. But with how much I use a desktop, its probably averaged to quite little per hour I've logged.

If I could ever have the capacity to just sit down and edit, it does video quite quickly too

I built mine for CAD/CAM software and gaming, so I had to go with a pricey build. I also built it in 2020 when parts prices were outrageous

CAD machines are basically the same idea. I even had a 12 button gaming mouse with all the shortcuts mapped out on it when I was heavily using it. Now it's a good day if i get to do functions in excel
