Ok, my suspension discussion from this weeks reading.

Option one: Bilstein 5100s all around, but why bother.

Option two: Bilstein 6112/5160 route, seems well liked in the taco world, discussions of leaking in 4Runner world, and overall there seems to be some thoughts the Bilstein are prone to leaking.

option three: Ironman Foampro stage 3 kit, which seem to be liked in the Land Cruiser and 4Runner world, but according to my local color guide, the green springs will detract from the lunar rock color.

Option four: Buy once, cry once. Bilstein 8112 zone control upfront and 8100 bypass in the rear.

If I go aftermarket Upper Control Arms, I like the iron man one. Most corrosion resistant and uses O.E.M. ball. Not sure on the springs still, but based on what I understand the Bilstein shocks warranty requires their springs.

I almost ordered RCI Skid package yesterday and just put this on hold, they are offering 15% off and an additional 10% if your over a grand, and the aluminum package with power coating is like 20 bucks more than with out due to the sale.

I’d pick option 3 and paint the springs. I believe Jared has a wall mounted spring compressor in the works or I’m sure they could be brushed while assembled in like an hour then clear coat the whole enchilada for extra protection.

2.5 medium (0 to 110 lbs Additional payload) front springs, Rear either 2 inch medium (0 to 660 lbs additional) or 3 inch (440 to 880 lbs additional). What counts as additional payload. whatever is added over those axles? Or myself and all the extra twinkies I store in my belly?

Technically everything added to the vehicle. You’re probably in the 3” category with your anticipated weight and lift you want. How much are new coils if you change your mind and want to drop an inch? I like options

How does it work with the front and back springs, do you add together?

All I need to do is hit the pay button, ill wait a day or so to get some other feedback.

Foam Cell Pro, Non Kdss Stage 3, 3 inch medium load 0 - 110 lbs, fronts, 3 inch, medium plus, 440 - 880 lbs, rear. No airbag delete kit, and prebuilt Coil Overs. My thinking is 3in front and 3 in rear will keep me from putting my nose in the air when I’m loaded.

I also added the diff drop spacer kit $40, and the adjustable Rear Panhard bar $299. After the 5% discount I’m just under $2800. They say ships in 48 hours typically.

current vehicle extra weight-150 lbs Sliders, 150 lbs RTT, 50 lbs roof rack. 350 in added accessories plus me easily over 440.

I’m not overly stressed about the color, I don’t think it will be seen that easily, and then if your looking under the skirt, you’ll see the hulk parts.

I'd skip the diff drop. At best, your losing some clearance up front and at worst, you're shifting where the oil in the diff sits so the back of it gets a little less. Besides that it doesn't really do much anyway

what about changing the angles, and the possible needle bearing issues. I’m operating on my internet research, so I’m just knowledgeable to be confused. And I’m also ok be on the better safe than sorry.

What’s funny, is I was think of passing on the panhard, think the 300 isn’t worth it and the 40 was money well spent.
