Smack it with the biggest hammer you can get your hands on, as long as it's steel it'll be fine. What kind of movement are you seeing in the sliders?

Not sure what brand o have but they are weld on and beefy. Better access to the frame fire woolwax than bolt on

IIRC they are Mobtown skids, steel. The fun part is that where it is bent is right on the edge where it turns up, and there already is a reinforcement pretty close as is.

Lol I don't think a hammer would work, probably need a press of some sort... Hoping we can somehow fit it in Jack's press.

The one time I hit the sliders (near the front) it ended up moving up and hitting something on the cab. IIRC the only mounting point near the front is a single bolt that uses another plate inside the crossmember/trans mount. I looked at it yesterday and the plate it uses to pinch is bent, so it was plenty tight at some point.

For reference they are the old Cali Raised ones before they got rid of the stainless steel top plates.

I dont think we will be able to fit it in but we can try. Its a normal 20 ton HF press. Either way we can figure out something.

We can take a look. I did notice they dont use a square main tube which IMO is the best slider design strength wise. Kind of depends what's really happening on how we can fix it. I am sure we can figure out something

You need a bigger hammer!! A little fire would help move it along as well

That's the one thing I don't have, big fire source.
I'm sure it will be spectacular.
You never know, we might need that.
If we require anywhere near that level of effort, that is going to be really rough.

I have the two things listed in the pictures, we can wack it for a while then if that doesnt work just cut out the bad section and patch in a good one.

Either way you are going to need to repaint it

Haven’t heard anything but I could probably be persuaded.

I do want to start getting a 3 Bears / VW hill trip planned.. May want to take a ride up with just a few and do some sketchy bridge repair.
