Is it wrong for me to think there shouldn't be a gap between my skid plate and crossmember? It's mint everywhere else as far as I can tell.

There shouldn’t be, can you just torque it down?

Is it bent up at all? my aluminium one was horrible by the time I took it off

I dont think it's bent. I literally can jack it up flush, tighten the bolt, and drop it down and it's the same. Bolt definitely still threads on and everything. Tempted to just put a washer or two and call it a day lol. Tried moving the skid slightly while the bolts were loose. Might slot the hole slightly

Is the bolt your using too long? So it’s just pushing up against the opposite side of the frame and not actually clamping the skid to the frame?

Washers would work but not ideal

It's the factory bolt, shouldn't be

How's the passenger fender and the sun visors?
If you get it, I'll be interested in buying some parts off it.

Aligned my truck last night, drove much better on a test drive going 60. We will see how it does going down 93 this morning.

Hopefully they'll align with a day/weekend, that I am, or can get freed up.

@TacoTuesday603 that crossmember looks good. Been trying to sort out how to reinforce mine. Might be better off with a complete crossmember like that....

That’s the problem I’m having. For some reason the dealers are telling me the one I need is on national back order. I can find them here and there that have that sais crap. Looking into scrap yards now but they can’t confirm it doesn’t have it. Tell me they do have one but it’s still on the truck and they can’t send me a picture.

I’ve read people have used the newer ones and blocked off the extra port. I don’t see why that wouldn’t work

My truck was at Lou’s custom exhaust and they bought the newer one with the sais pipe on it. Dealer told him it should fit. They took mine off and it didn’t fit. Didn’t charge me the labor for taking it off then back on but he did try to weld up my old one. Only lasted about a week and now it’s even louder than before. I would just put a header on it but I’m worried about passing inspection.

Looks like it is possible. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...atible-with-2010-tacoma-air-injection.764778/

The stock headers are 409 so welding them is not easy while keeping them still stainless ish.
