Starting off the right way....bed stiffeners should be one of the first things. Regarding your lift.....since you have a 3rd gen, stick around a 2 inch lift since yours is already an inch higher then the second gens because of stock geometry. Icon makes great laef springs for the rear but stay away from their lift system and shocks, They do not last at all in NE winters. You will pay a lot for them and get let down quickly. The amount of lift and price you pay for your suspension depends on what type of driving you will do with it. You can still get a decent lift, nice ride, and some good offroad and on road capability from a bilstein 5100 set up and save some money.

Thanks for the advice ! What do you think about Rough Country Products? I want to change the upper Control arms too. I’m thinking just two inches so I can stay with either stock wheel and bigger tires or 17” wheels and tires

Like I said before, it all depends on what driving you want to do with your truck. If you want, we can meet up soon sometime and have a discussion about it since it may last more than 10-15 minutes... sound good?

    @AwesomeLaw68 I have 5100s with ADO coils on mine, @crashngiggles runs 6112s.
He and I live about 10 minutes apart...
Can certainly take you for a ride, and get a feel.
    MUCH better than stock TRD.

    There are TONS of options.
As the man said... all in your intended use, and desires.
As far as getting together... I should get those UCAs ordered sooner than later...

I'm down to try and attend. If I'm working anywhere but Boston on the day I'll be there.

You guys in the area should come up with a day and time for the meet. I'll post it.
Going to try for the same on the Eastside as that's pretty far for some but I'm all over the place.

I will be using my vehicle to commute mostly for now but will start doing off road trips and camping and Kayaking this summer, I am going to purchase a roof rack along with kayak holders.
Lift kit to come, still looking for the components.

5100s is the best bang for the buck. Icon rxts if you want to do springs to.
Keep the lift at 2" and probably won't need UCAs.

i will look into the 5100s struts this week and the leaf springs, doesn't seem like it can take to long to change them out either 2" is the highest i want to go really, then I plan on putting on a Cali raised gas tank skid plate that was given to me as a gift.

In the sake of being lazy and not reading 6 pages of this, has a date been chosen?

    Where are you located?

As far as swapping them... if they come loaded(mine have aftermarket coils), I did the front end, and and some 3 leaf AALs in an afternoon by myself. No problem.

Rust is usually the biggest factor of time. Yours should go easy peesy. If you're adding a bunch of weight they are adjustable or get different coils.

Not much weight to be added, I will probably be towing a camper once the wife and I decide which one we want , I don't mind camping and sleeping on the ground but you know women, they can't get dirty or sleep on the ground.
