An exhaust switch is not going to change your MPGs. If you have a turbo charger, tune and whatever else, maybe.... MAYBE... you could see a .5 mpg difference just from the exhaust, but very doubtful.

The data presented in this thread was "before.. over 3 months i got 18mpg average, and now after an exhaust, after only a few fill ups im getting 21!" If op tracked their mpgs just as diligently this time for 3 months (same roads, same time of year), I guarantee it would be the same.

If a simple exhaust design increased fuel economy to any extent, wouldn't every car manufacture include it stock? MPGs is a huge selling point this day and age... Car companies (since 2000's) are pressured constantly to innovate and improve has mileage.

I keep returning to dirtydeeds website, thinking about a full exhaust. A few people on forums have spoke highly of 2.25 piping all the way through. I bet dirtydeeds could make it happen... all reports were anecdotal, though, but seemed credible to my untrained eye.

Any intention of throwing dirtydeeds on your taco?

I actually don't have a taco, but I along with MANY others on the tundra forums are happy DD customers. They are a great company. Shoot them any questions you have and they will answer

Idk about a new exhaust system unless it includes headers, and the whole none yards giving you that drastic a change, but a new stock system is likely to be quieter than an old burned out rusted one.

Surprisingly, I got better MPGs with the magnaflow welded in on my 2007 4.0 ranger, I was shocked.

Borla s-type catback made absolutely no difference in MPGs on my taco. Sounds awesome though.
