After a long summer break my exhaust finally came in. I had my friend help me out with the install. I have a magnaflow #16625 catback. The sound is great and i love going thru tunnels with it ;)

I noticed a small black gunk develop at the bottom tip of the exhaust and was wondering what it is? I searched "leak" but i dont think its that. Is there suppose to be a gasket from the OE cat to the new piping? [IMG]

Totally normal. Carbon residue that gathers at the bottom due to moisture. In order to keep your tailpipe looking clean, wipe it off often. If you let it go, it will discolor the chrome and eventually decay the surface. I use a Magic Eraser to clean the area and then Meguiar's Chrome Polish to shine.
